Name: Egon/Herz/Hirn
Age: Egon: 18 years, 3 months, a number of days and some hours. / Herz: Mentally stuck at 3 / Hirn: Feels way, way too old for this shit.
Height: Egon: 5 feet 10 - or 180cm. Glory to the metric system. / Herz: Variable. Usually about 70 inches. / Hirn: Variable. Usually about 50 inches.


Are you familiar with the Freudian model of Id, Ego and Superego? If not, it's time to read up on that now.
But here's the short version:


The 'Id' is a person's basic instincts and urges.

The 'Superego' is the moral and common sense.

And the 'Ego' is the middleman, the one who has to balance the two out and choose what will really be done.


But what if your Id and Superego aren't exactly under your control?


Egon is 18, hormonally unstable and wears too much eyeliner. His best (and only) friends are a floating heart and brain - Herz and Hirn, respectively - who just happen to represent his Id and Superego. They're generally benevolent, but their decisions for Egon aren't always the smartest ones.

Herz is all about love. He thinks Egon needs a girlfriend as fast as possible, and will do anything - (Read: ANYTHING.) to make sure that happens. He always has a big, creepy smile on his face, has a ravenous appetite, and loves shiny things.

Hirn's job is to make sure Egon doesn't accidently murder someone (or himself) in the process. He thinks school and studying are more important than anything else, but he's a bit of a coward and Herz can be pretty scary. So his actions are mostly limited to sarcastic commentary and world-weary sighs. He has his moments, though - should something be about to really, really go wrong, he will do anything to help Egon out of a tricky situation.
