yeah i kind of forgot to describe my character and all the good stuff so here goes...

Andrew (Discharge)
Personality - He is a silly goofball who likes to joke around. Mischievous happy go lucky guy that doesn't take anything to serious. Andrew’s past is why he likes to enjoy life; it is also the reason why he always helps people when they need it especially when they are alone.  Andrew is used to being alone so until an unexpected event happened in his past which is why he is who he is now.
Ability – he has electrical based powers, he is able to move in the air like jumping to one spot to another making it seem like he is a bolt of lightning. He has a super charged muscle mass (Super Strength)…

I like what you've got here for a character so far.  I wouldn't mind seeing more superhero types around VOID and I think you've got a lot of potential to improve here.  It's great that you've come out with a strong presentation so far, a design sheet, simple bio and some pages for us to look at.  With your pages I see that you're trying many things, perspective, backgrounds, people and that is great that you are diving into it headfirst.  However it's also obvious that you need to work at all of these things.  Keep in mind the proportions of your people and the anatomy you'll need to practice to keep them in form.  Practice heads as you have some trouble keeping the shape consistent.  When he carries the girl, her head flattens out a bit too much.  It's great that you're keeping backgrounds in mind but look to examples of your favorite works, you want the backgrounds to be less sparse and more full, more lived in which means they need more detail.  If it's a lab you'll want to see more wires and machinery or maybe you need more texture.  Basically continue to push yourself and you'll do great.  I hope to see you finish up these pages the best you can and remember don't be afraid to erase and work on the underlying structure of an object if you need to.

Hey, welcome to void. Nice to see you starting with pages but i am a bit confused by your page numbering, your pages are in two parts? How will that work? No matter how you number them as it stands you still technically have 6 pages, which is too muchfor an intro. Unless i am missing something here. The limit is 4 pages so you might want to condense your story.

Ahhh, I remember you!

As far as the backgrounds go, look at what you have going on right now. Everything is either a corner of a room, or a the characters are standing right next to a wall. Vary things up a bit! Move the "camera" around to have some more interesting angles.

Everything is pretty blah and boring ... if you're not sure what to draw, just google up some inspiration.

I searched for "laboratory scifi" and got this:

http://th03.deviantart.net/fs70/200H/f/2011/094/c/9/alien_crocodile_laboratory_by_vandervals-d3au1hj.jpg

Right now you have a HUUUUGE box room with some stuff in it. Make it a little more interesting!!

As far a perspective goes, it looks like you have the basic idea ... but you keep putting the horizon line waaay too high. You should also try 2 point or 3 point perspective, instead of just 1. Don't always slap the vanishing point in the middle of the panel.

Remember that the horizon line doesn't always have to be visible in your panel. Draw the scene out properly and then crop out your panel. Horizon lines should always EXIST, but you might not always see them in a panel. Does that make sense?

You aren't thinking about what you are putting in the background, you're just putting stuff in to fill in the blank spaces. Practice drawing entire scenes, including floors and ceilings.

Hey now! This is a huge improvement from your previous pages. You've still got some perspective and anatomy issues, but I don't expect you to fix those kinds of things overnight. Don't be afraid to reference photos for anatomy too. There's a pile of resources here: http://entervoid.com/index.php?topic=12176.0

cool, this definitely looks better then before. I agree with red on everything also.
I say finish this up, add color, and BAM! you got yourself a nice intro comic.

Before you go any further, I'd like to throw some cold water on the conversation and mention that you need backgrounds before I will agree that you have a nice intro comic. That first panel looks good, but everything disappears after that. I want to know at all times where your characters are. We have too many VOIDers who avoid backgrounds, including some of our best and brightest--I'd really love to see some new people avoiding that trend, and I dare you to start the revolution!
