Heime gets my vote cuz his was fun to read, had a lotta nice little touches, and awesome fish death.
Jackster your\'s looked real damn nice but was too busy in spots and I was more engaged by your design sheet than this battle. Nice explosion though.

Heimie: This is just great. You have my vote all of the way. There.
I think your comics would be perfect if they had more polish to them... the text is often squished into balloons... and I think the uneven panel borders make he artwork seem very rushed. Also, some of the lines are super thin and, maybe this is due to image editing, they look pixely. I think those things tend to hurt the quality.
Jackster: Not bad for introducing Fish Tank, I think... I hope that, if you move on, future comics will have a bit more meat to them. The last page is almost perfect. I like your rendition of Mr. Sun.

Awesome stuff here
Hiemie: Once again you really shine when it comes to making an enjoyable and readable comic in a short deadline. Out of all of the comics here, I feel that yours is the most unique one out of the whole bunch here. While I kinda wish you\'d push yourself to draw more realistic pictures and comics, but your style still has a lot of charm. I really hope you go far in this tournament, and continue to give the readers here unique stories that doesn\'t head straight into the SDT default for fighting.
Jackster: Art wise man, you\'re top of the line! Story wise... I really gotta say, it wasn\'t very enjoyable. Fishtank meets Mr. Sun, leaves, but hits Mr. Sun with a missile. C\'mon, you knew that you were fighting one hell of an opponent here man.
Now... I\'m gonna apologize in advance for this, but you guys in this SDT really need to push yourselves with your stories if you want to survive this thing. I\'ve seen some great art from the whole lot of ya, no question about it, but I haven\'t read anything that has made me just go back and say \"Wow...!\" C\'mon people, the default story of meeting the opponent, fighting, and killing your opponent has been done to death (pardon the pun).
While you are going to kill your opponent in the story if you win or lose, others have done such unique things against others in past SDT matches throughout the years, go and give them a good read. You\'ll enjoy what others have done in the past tournaments, believe me. Check out what guys like Hiemie, Kure, Silverlimit, James, Shelde, Dan, and Fuudasha has done and you\'ll see that there\'s a lot more you can do with your stories, and ways you can really push yourself for a more creative and enjoyable read.
I really enjoyed what everybody has put forward in the first round here and I think those that move onto the next round really deserve it as a good number of you have given my eyes the proper asskicking of epic perportions. But there\'s no wow factor here when I read these.
My vote on this comic goes to Hiemie. Jackster, I love ya mang, and I want to see you finish up that comic for Clue you left us all hanging from.

Hiemie: Great pages, specially for being fully finished, with inking and colouring ok, and consistently done through it! It has really good panels, specially that one with the tank popping out, which is kind of something new from you, as far as I remember. It\'s pretty funny, I liked it a lot!
Jackster: You have no idea how afraid I was of facing a tank on the first round xD. The inks are really perfect, I enjoyed them a lot! I think the movement panels gets a bit confusing at times, but I could get the story ok!
Good luck!!

Hiemie-I really enjoyed your story, but the occasional wall of text made it difficult to read in some parts. But you had some nice character interaction going on, and Mr.Sun is a precious character. While you didn\'t have the highest quality or anything, I found the battle to be thoroughly entertaining.
Jackster-on the flip side, you had some very nice art, but...that\'s about it. I don\'t know if it was just your heart not being in it or what, but there just wasn\'t that much to the battle.
