Soo,
Here we are... again.
no questions thanks

Anyway.

FLYNT STERLING

the name is wrong on the 2nd piece. It's FLYNT (not Shale) Sterling pictured.

FLYNT STERLING:
Height: 5' 9.25"
Weight: 373 pds
Ethnicity: Seems of African descent
Gender: Male
Alias: None
Birth Place: "Unknown"
Affiliations: Sterling Family
Material Status: Single
Occupation: Vagabond Meddler, Thought he was on sacred mission found out otherwise... sorta.

• Strength:
Lifts in the 2-4 ton range.
Has no need to breath, eat or sleep.
Body is Highly durable, Some think he's invulnerable.
He can take blows from meteors and is only knocked out.
Can endure the extremes of space, Cold, Heat (Survives near direct Solar Flare hit with a lot of pain & slight burns).

• Reflexes:
triple mongoose range.

• Senses:
Vision normally he's in the double eagle+kid's microscope range & with no hindrances from smoke, fog, lack of light or water.
Not normal. He can see things basically anywhere he looks. beyond X-ray or telescope or light ranges. Into other worlds & universes. But it's on command.
He can see invisible entities, ghost, spirits, demons if he's paying attention. He'll usually has feeling about stuff like that before he thinks to try and see them.

Hearing, smell, taste, touch are near triple human range.

• Special Equipment:
A teleportation door that he's connected to at multiple levels.
He rides the door to fly but it's main function is it opens to ANY Where he wants it to. Any spot dimension or universe.
FLYNT uses it for movement, defense and offense.
The door itself is made with highly durable primordial carbons in a null energy & ether plasma matrix.
And can be used as a shield but it's not unbreakable. However it reforms at the will of FLYNT.
Door changes it's look/interFACE from time to time. But it's size remains relatively constant.
The main question is what's behind door #1.

•Other Attributes:
FLYNT is not immune to magic but is nearly so. positively & negatively.
Think of it this way. If a person who's very strong wanted to lift a mountain how strong would they need to be.
So a strong person could move big rocks from the mountain but the mountain's not really affected much. (superman level strength of course is another story).
If they used an excavator over time there'd be a dent. With Lots of dynamite more so.
(however there are certain limited times where he's protected 100% from magic attacks.)
So even if someone wasn't trying to hurt him with magic it's just not very useful for him, for instance, he could not walk on a "magic bridge". He'd either break (or break through) it by trying to walk on it, or it would be like trying to walk on smoke for him.

ok it looks like this hasn't been updated since 2007, but i've been clicking around alot to find some definitive info. I've gotten some. And i get-- and like-- the idea of making VC whatever you want and that cameos of others characters are cool, but with all of the disasters it seems this page should be update. I've asked question before in other areas a while back but never got responses, i'll try again here but assume if there's no answer i'll make up whatever i want and use the character designs/story of others that may or may not be up to date. that's ok.
I'm not looking for long answers just a few words. i'm shooting the wad here.

Somewhere  on the site there's a set of stories where  1 to 3 big craters where made in the city.
what caused this? (quick answers like ie an earthquake or monsters or aliens or characters xyz did abc, are great..)
how many craters are there?
any known dangers there now? or was it filled?
there's at least one floating city is there only one?
Is that city(ies) very different from void? how so?
Is there communication travel or trade with the floating city?
does the city have a proper name or a slang names?

Is there a major river in/near void city?
Is there an Ocean or Sea next/near to void city?
Is there a desert/jungle/mountains/arctic wasteland near void city?

Is there anything about Void Prison and Jail(s?) that should be known? (ie Generally run by the inmates, super secure and strict etc..)

Are there any celebrities (film/tv/music/internet/activist/writers/artist/scientist) in town?
Is there a regular TV station or well known local TV personalities?

thanks in advance to anyone who responds.

my entry From A Comic Jam I almost forgot I signed up for.
everybody contributes 1 page each.

fast for me but still fairly slow. 5 days too many hours.

though her position isn't bad, the proportions are off on the female "Rage" in the final panel.
cheated on her foot for time as well.

I copped bits from the others pages for the BG at the bottom of the 1st section.
I wish i had cleared up the octo parasite in her mouth and the chrysalis bit at both ends above the monologue.

wonderful stuff. the knight piece is really well done. wordless is beautiful. like your stylization of the the body too.  hope to see the rest of it.
the thin white outlines on the Black entity really helps to subtly offset it from the background.
Your grays works Great but I wonder if a few more changes in the overall tone of  a panel or 2 would do anything for it.
peace

Stylewise, it's a lot looser than the stuff I usually go for but it's still pretty sweet.

Your sequentials are killing me though. That's a lot of action & it's generally looking ok aside from the fact that it's given no space to breathe. You're too busy cramming panels in to page to really give us room to see anything the way we ought to be seeing it. And the sound effects are pretty trite too. Not saying scrap them, but put more thought in than things like "Pow!" I will say though that the shaping with the ricocheting bit's pretty nice

Cool,
thanks for the feed back I'm in the process of breaking the panels us for  a bit more clarity . as well as using a couple other devices to make it more readable.
The soud effect thing comment is interesting  , Gets the wheels turning in a way they hadn't thanks, that's good.

the layout bothers me on page 1. corner to corner panels are always confusing for me, and its hard for me to tell which one goes next.

other than that, art looks okay.

preciate the comment on the layout, i hear ya,
looking for any advise on getting me past "okay" to awesome too. peace

Thanks folks I appreciate the welcome :D

Wow, there are all very cool! You've got a lot terrific anatomy, ink-work, and action flow. This is all really fantastic looking. I absolutely adore your action text. The squish slipp slipp slipp text looks phenomenal and so does the ping, zing, klang made by the bullets.

The only things I don't care for in this whole lot are the looking-up view produced by The Spirit (?). He kind of looks like Garrison Keillor because of it! Also, the blocky coloring on black-sumo-man seems off, too.

If those comics are you actual submissions for the site, you can just submit now. Because seriously, those look fantastic. I love the art and your selective colors.

Thanks! I'm still working kinks out of my anatomy though, but I'm glad it reads well so far, the Up look on the Spirit was a rouge area for me. still not sure how to fix it.  the area around the shadows hat and eyes' needs work too IMO. The text is Fun to Do! I always like making it expressive it one of those items that uniquely to the medium I lugs it. The Coloring "style" on the the Black Sumo was suppose to carry over to all of the piece but I got unlazy  with the rest but didn't go back and fix  him.

Submission? OK, I need to go back and reread the rules for details. But no that's not my character or Submission.

Looks great! I really like the movement and expressiveness in your work. The one thing I was going to comment on as the gutters on the sequentials but from your comment I'm assuming you're fixing that. Your color choice for the mostpart is pretty solid but on the walking on water image what is what gets lost because almost everything is the same color. Like I know he's surrounded by water but since there's lightning coming from the sky you could have brought more attention to the sky to better differentiate it from the water.

Thanks! I get your point with the water sky thing. I kind of wanted it all to run together really but I guess it's not working quite as planned. Hmm thanks for the feed back there.

really fantastic work! can't wait to see more from you, got a character idea?
Thanxs!
I've got a couple of Ideas, but I need to lurk around a bit more to see which one my best fit or maybe Not fit.
