Edge is a member of the Void Navy Intelligence Agency, or the VNI. The VNI exist to protect the interests of the Void Galactic Alliance and aboveall, counter threats to the very existence of Void.

There are alot of things out there in the dark recesses of the galaxy that you'd prefer not to meet.

Edge is currently investigating the Heaven Catastrophe, where a massive surge of divine immigrants resulted from the destruction of their plane. The Void Galactic Police have been particularly unhelpful, and after a few operations going tits up due to possible leaks and bureaucratic road blocks, Edge has been assigned to go into deep cover in the VGP.

Of course, this doesn't halt his duties in the VNI.

Edge gets little sleep.
