Tbh I enjoyed these both.
I love how passionate Desi is about this ship!!
Zee! the flashbacks get me right in the feels. your palettes are always wonderful. Thank you for another great comic.
I wish i had more to say, but I just liked almost everything about these two, so a short and sweet comment it is!

Desi, it's a rare feat on void to actually complete a full comic issue worth of pages, deadline or no, so that is awesome.
Zee, I love the characterization here, and the exploration of a socially unacceptable attraction (though perhaps less unacceptable in the bug world?) I would love to see this explored further in future comics, and maybe see some significant complications or consequences for Scroops' necrophilia. I loved watching him sweat in that last set of panels, the way the second one is slightly offset, it's a great example of how a neatly structured comic can use subtle breaks in that structure to great effect.
We have to battle or collab sometime, because I have a cool idea for putting The Smile into your insect world.

William_Duel: Oh I noticed a funny thing just now. Desi's comic ends on the same panel that Zee's comic begins. Was that planned?

Desi: First of all great job with how many pages you were able to produce for this, this allowed for more character development and development of the relationship between the two characters. I love all your colors and how you're able to use so many sharp colors and make it look so good and mesh well. even with the two different color pallets you switched between worked well together. Also your expressions have been getting much better, specially i think it's the mouth expression having more range and conveys the characters emotions clearly. It's also good to see you still experimenting with panel layout, page 19 i found pretty fun. You did a lot of good quality work with this comic and I look forward to seeing more.
Zee: I enjoyed seeing the past history of scroop and his interesting taste in women. In particular I think my favorite thing was how you interpreted Veevee and i love her design in this. I also like the different pallets you used for all the scenes being saturated but distinctly different. also in general your bug setting is also good with all the backgrounds and detail you put in. Great job and nice seeing these characters again.

Desi: I hope you feel better soon! I really enjoyed your comic and I want to say that I love your use of bright colors here. There's a strong energy/mood to each palette and while pretty intense on the yellowy pages, none of them were distracting or gaudy looking. You've clearly got an eye for color. This is the first comic of yours I've commented on so I just wanna say I really enjoy your style and the way you've used it on your opponent's characters here. You've kept their original appearance in mind while still working them into your own way of drawing bugs so that they match Veevee and it worked very well. Scroop in particular looks very cute with the rounded glasses-eye look paired with the expressions you used. I can't wait to check out more of your stuff!
Zee: This was a really surprising one to come back to after all this time. You are still amazing at backgrounds but what surprised me here was the change in color palette from your previous stuff I was used to seeing. You used a lot of rich, saturated colors before and here you've opted for a very toned down palette which you made look equally awesome. It really set an atmosphere, particularly in your night scenes along with the small details like the long shadows and the misty way the distant trees look. I honestly can't think of any useful critique to give here. orz But I'm really enjoying these bugs and I'm happy to read your stuff again. Great work!

zee: GORGEOUS backgrounds, as always, and fantastic gesture and expression! i would die to be able to pose like you can. For story I feel like the pacing could be a bit jarring. The second flashback threw me for a loop, i thought the pages were out of order at first, i couldnt understand the transition. i understand you included it to show Scroops', hmm, UNIQUE taste in women lol and why he would follow Veevee but i feel like that could have smoothed better. As for the last page, who was that body and when was he murdered? i thought VeeVee was with Scroops the whole time? Maybe I missed something. Anyways, fabulous work as always, i hope we'll get to see them more, and I'd love a part 2 on this explosive relationship~

Zee oh man! Oh my goodness where do I even start?! The fantastic backgrounds, wonderful color choices, the steady climb of the suspense! Everything about this comic is absolutely amazing! Gonna parrot some others with that Suspenseful, Jack the Ripper vibe, which I totally dig. I love seeing a hint of Scroops past and overall, this was a beautifully done comic!

what i have learned from both those comics is that Scroop has UNHEALTHY tastes in women hahaha
I strangely ship those two.
Desi : Your story kinda reminded me of Sylva, a roman where the author used the metaphore of a hurt female fox transforming into a woman in his house to talk about his difficult relationship with his wife. While VeeVee don't act as a fox she is about as hostile and instable toward Scroop, who in return shows only patience and kindness... which coming from a necrophage make the whole situation so very Burton-ish ! I rarely see this kind of emotionnal devellopment in Void. You aced that aspect !!
also nice use of cold/warm colors to signify violent/suddent changes of emotions.
Zee: tssssk, scroop, scroop, scroop... you hopeless gentleman. Your version accentuated the idea that scroop really has the habit of choosing the most difficult of women to live with. Here VeeVee is like a insect Jack the Ripper. Monochromatics pages with scroop's memories are well used to show the contrast between what i think are first his fantasmed memories and second what probably really happened (or maybe it shows us that his deceased wife was kind of a handful/bipolar? ) he's too nice (of a necrophiliac cannibal) for his own good ^^
You both did very well !

Psst hello this is an IMPORTANT note to commenters, for when this comic publishes... WHICH AT THE TIME OF WRITING THIS COMMENT, is very very very much not soon lol.
Now I'm not positive everyone will see this but i just want to say that I've been in a pretty bad place mentally the past some time, and I very much do not think that i can handle much critique right now, so for my end of this battle, I'd really appreciate it if you guys could like, go really easy on it, maybe even just point out what you like, because while I'm working just as hard on this comic as all the comics I do, i just do not think i can make it through critique this time. Apologies for any bother, but to those who read this note and follow along with what it says, thank you very much.
Anyway I'm gonna get back to work on this comic now, and i hope everyone will enjoy both Zee's comic and my own comic when they go up.
