Magistelle: Dang so many good poses and expressions here. You know how much I love the way you use color. Also AAAAAAAAAGHHH!! Nice juxtaposition of them both on flat surfaces.

Fukuro: Man, even in his own comic he can't catch a break, huh? I like the way the colors shifted throughout the comic.

AW YEAH I was so looking forward to this fight and neither of you disappointed in the least. You both worked hard and it super shows, I love these comics.

Mags -
This is wonderfully written, I think it has great pacing the whole way through! Similarly, when it comes to the action it continues to flow, I can feel the movement in those poses and it RULES. I was 100% interested in this story from start to finish, always eager to see what would happen next, and in my opinion those are the best kind of comics.
It's neat to see these facets of Mammon at once, so loyal to some and yet so cold and brutal to others because he needs to be. I wonder how will this way of thinking and acting will affect him in the future? I can't wait for more!!

Fu -
Once again I can't praise your coloring enough and I LOVE that color shift when Ruuto STEPS UP HIS GAME.
I think it's a cool (and to an extent humorous) idea to have a televised event with everyone watching. Good thing the camera got smashed or that could have been like, sooo embarrassing...
It's clear that Ruuto is plenty capable of holding his own in a fight and amusing to see that he's not afraid of fighting dirty. The only thing I'm not sure about is why Ruuto got into this fight in the first place? Since no stakes are specifically stated, my guess is that he feels like he has something to prove. Is it to himself or the world? Both?! I'm intrigued either way.

Once again, fanTASTIC job you guys. Thanks for providing us with these Sick Comics!

yoooOOOOOOO these are both super rad!!!!! So much nice pathos-fueled adrenaline-pumping action!! I have precisely one nitpick for both of you because you're both continually and unceasingly above my level that I can never find anything substantial to note.

Mags: The rain effect in the first two pages was super neat, I don't know if you drew all those lines by hand or used a brush, but it's a lot of effort either way! But just to go that extra mile, a lot of what really makes a good image of rain to me is depicting the impact as it hits the ground or someone's shoulders, with a small splash. Right now, you've just got the rain endlessly falling and just kind of fizzling out. A little splashback would really really tie things together!

Fu: I can't get as specific here, but the fire effects in general seem kind of lacking, probably because they appear in all the pages that you haven't shaded (I dunno if that's a specific look you wanted for your more intense action scenes or just time running out oh hey would you look at that you mention it down below, i tend to write these without reading critiques first). It just kind of placidly sits there and doesn't have an impact on the characters surrounding it, which it probably ought to, considering it's a directed weapon for Ruuto.

You two never fail at showing up, and sure af did you guys show up. Both comics are extremely strong and I feel almost to unqualified to to spot errors in them. But I will try and break down what made both comics so good to me:

MAgs. To think I forgot Mammon is a grade A villain and mayor asshole to all but a few, you sure showed me. I second shen, I want more of this. Mammon feels like the Boss before the final boss, who you kinda paint everyones favorite arch villain, Black Adder as. And man, the interactions between Mammon and Blackadder made him so scary, and really made you feel how Mammons this caged, angry attack dog to Blackadder. I want more of that. I loved how you potrayed Ruuto, and made him so empathic. And left us filling in the blanks as to what his exact torture was.  I want to fight Mammon now, but I am to terrified!

Fu: Your colors keep impressing me, and the pace of your work is always mind blowing to me. I really liked he open challenge plot line, It was a fun, seemingly innocent in its own right. Annnnd then you made Mammon scarily violent and raised the stakes. Honestly though, the story ending felt a bit abrubt and wasn't as solid as the lead up.

Oh, and the nut kick panel was fantastic, I laughed and cringed so hard.

Mags: i fucking love Absolute Heel Mammon and i want 100 more years of it. I love to see the two aspects of him- the tender side he holds towards Wizzie and his henchmen, and the ruthless villain who will coldly watch an opponent be tortured for personal gain. I eagerly await further conflict as these two sides of himself clash. Your art in this is fantastic as usual- fantastic spot blacks to emphasize the mood and you draw a scarier Angus Blackader than anybody- though theres a weird pixelated quality to several pages I'm not to keen on. Accidental? Just my monitor?? I love the description of how terrifying dragonians are overlayed to Ruuto being a huge dweeb lol. Mammon punching Ruuto on page 7 though had a weird rubbery quality to it that i dont super think worked, it was like his arm elongated for that punch. The fight otherwise was killer. I love how you arent shy to completely fuck mammon up, and I liked the scar for Ruuto too. poor ruuto suffers so much! I felt so bad for him! and for all his suffering mammon's still so cold and angry. Gives me shivers! I know you struggled to get this comic out with school n all but it came out totally awesome. well done! Bonus: Archie is so cute i want to punch his adorable face glad to see him alive
Fu: Damn but I love how you colour. even the pages you didnt fully render still look good I didnt even notice during my first readthrough that they were only half finished. The action was great, I loved how terrifying Ruuto looked, soaking in blood and grinning like a devil that was the Good Shit. I also think you draw an adorable Wizzie lol. Im not of fan of the story ending so quickly, I would have liked one more page of resolution or epilogue or something to finish the tale. I did however enjoy Ruuto splayed naked across Mammon's chest lmaooooo

both these comics were delightfully bloody and violent and both had some really nice manbutt so A+++ both teams

I know you guys faced a lot of hardship to finally get this battle out, rest knowing that you dished out some great material and you should be proud of your products

Mags: The rise of Mammon as a formidable and present villain is infectious to watch, seeing him become so vile and heartless left a physical impression on me, it *felt* ill to witness and that's a wonderful thing. There's a few scenes where the action gets a little hard to figure out in just one read, for a moment I was confused and did not realized Mammon had thrust the horn back into Ruuto's eye, it looked like he was yanking it out again. The lack of backgrounds in some segments is noticeable and makes it hard to figure out where everyone is, made a bit more confusing that they attack Ruuto in broad daylight in Wulftown, I'm assuming you asked questions about how the place works, I could have sworn it had an omniprescent AI and wulfbots to help keep the peace but I may be wrong. Regardless of that though it looked like violence happening right outside the Beowulf would have alerted Karrin of what was going on and spring into action, and cutting from the building straight to Ruuto already back in Slaw HQ feels like a narrative cheat as a result. You could have probably solved the whole scenario cleaner by having Ruuto exit Wulftown altogether so the question never arises. Ruuto being suddenly kidnapped is reason enough to go berserk really.

Fukuro: this is some of the best action you've produced, great job! I don't have any major hangups with the plot either aside from a somewhat abrupt end; What does bother me a bit is the lack of polish on effects like fire in pages 13 onward, don't know if because of running out of time or what, but some effects feel rushed with their strokes which stand out when other parts of the panels have been given much more care. Having the fire be just one shade of yellow I believe was a mistake, and I would like to see you experiment with coloring the lines of metaphysical effects like fire and action effects. There's a few places where the shadows disappear and that's a shame, is that also a time issue? Either way this is still a pretty strong comic

Great job, both of you

This is the first time I'm gonna be commenting a double scar match as well understanding what sort of scars both the opponents had, so here it goes:

Magistelle: Mammon is one scary guy, which matches well with his "Satan with a mustache" boss. This really helped with the narrative as well, gives some context to what's gonna happen. And now I got the context over the "savage" part. Now as for the action: I can say that this really got me pumped to see. Moves that felt like they held power and force behind it. Really loved it. I can see that Mammon's scar is visual and is the burnt up part of his back from protecting his goon. Seems like Ruuto's scar is more than what we expected: torture. Being used as a conduit for some power source or gain for his boss's plan. Really creative, though I'm not sure if that will either limit the opponent's way to use their character. But this has potential in going on a full out war against the Friendship group versus Mammon's boss. Great potential laid out, really would love to see it in action.

Fukuro: Well this is interesting; having the fight be something optional and announced. Not sure if this is a Void thing but hey: I'm okay with it. I like how your narrative went along this battle: dives into Ruuto's psyche and how he perceives his chances of winning or losing. As for scars... I'm assuming Mammon got a kick in the dick so hard that it went upwards into his body? Ruuto's is clear: bloody face and probably loss tissues to end up with no expression. Also, I think it would be considered a "cheap shot" to kick someone in the dick. Granted no one said you "can't" kick someone in the dick, but it's still dirty fighting. Again: probably a void thing. Love how it ended though: kind of felt fitting to have these two end up in the middle of the woods half naked. Really liked this match.

Both of these comics had buttshots, which, quite frrankly, pleases me a lot.

Um... The scars were pretty gruesome on these comics, holy hell.
Though I am a bit confused on what scar Ruuto got on your comic, Fu.

Fantastic match up, you two.

@Magistelle

This comic, I'm not gonna lie was pretty amazing! I really enjoyed the story of it! I actually got really scared when that girl who was working for him, was attacked though, and I think that's a demonstration of good story telling, when you can get us to care about even some random person who probably had nothing to do with anything! I really loved your usage of colors, and your spot blacks! The dialogue in this story was also very pleasant to read!

@Fukur0

Well now, that was certainly gruesome! Really neat comic btw, I remember hearing about how you guys both were super busy, so I won't really say anything about the lack of shading at part of the comic, but overall this comic was really nice! It had some great intense moments, and it definitely made me wonder how it'd end. I can't help though but wish that there was a bit more plot to this, but it still was really nice. Ironically, on your side of the battle, it looks like your character got more scarred than Magistelle's could ever have been, haha. Overall your coloring is really nice, and your action scenes are easy to comprehend, kudos on a comic well done!
