I think your digital painting's pretty alright. I think you really ought to slow it down a little more & get more contour-y when you're working more towards just line work. Just because it is digital, you don't have the license to be all squiggly & sketchy. There's no reason the cords in that digital painting flyer should be all squiggly & have more than one pass to them. Hell, if you can't get it right with the line art, use a pen tool & smooth it out. That way too, the text probably would have fallen better on the lines. Which brings me to that. I think you really need to work on incorporating typography into your style more as the digital fonts look stiff & out of place most the time. Either work on just keeping a steady hand & doing it by hand or get a better selection of fonts & learn how to manipulate them better.
