I thought I may as well get a thread going for my art OUTSIDE of Void. A lot of the time, the comics that I draw are based on experiences I have, but for the past few weeks I've been pretty busy on a comic strip project called "Charlie and Albert E" to be (hopefully) get published in some astronomy magazines. So anyway, I'll just list a bunch of my junk here for now. and update with any newer stuff later. Some of this stuff is old but I still like it.

I love your style, it's so fun looking. This concluded my highly educated art critique.

Charlie and Albert E comic strip project that I've been working on with my co-partner :D Ready to send to some editors.

Always cool to see your stuff in print! What're the strips about?

Also, just from what I've noticed on those pages: Be careful slinging a wall of text at people. If you need to say that much, even breaking them up with different bubbles goes a long way.

Thanks, the strips are aimed at amature astronomers, so it's cosmology and astronomy themed.

I'm guessing your referring to the wall of text on the "meet page", which is a really one of the comic strips, it's a character page for the editor to get a reasonable idea of each character (Charlie, Albert and Astrid). I understand what you mean though, but it looks a lot more then it actually is because they had to warp around the characters - also, my writer likes to rant a lot. lol.

Also, on the actual strips I was working 14 x 4.5 inches, and because there was a lot of script (and I wasn't in charge of the script) having a lot of word balloons to break down the text was very difficult not to clutter (most of the strips are 3 panels long, about 2 are 4 panels long). But I guess I'm still learning.

Haven't really showed my face around lately. So here's some art I've been working on besides my battle for Void.

Testing out different perspectives and not doing so well, lol.

Here is something Wizzie related.

Finally finished my entry for "Wizzie vs Boek" which i'll be submitting in the next few days. For now - here's a preview. This probably should go in battle hype jam or something, but I get confused easily so it can just go here.

Also! Fun with water colour brush continues!

Your card reminds me that I should probably make my own 'business' card.  People keep asking me for little graphic design projects (making dinner menus, stuff like that) and hey it's quick buck...  But anyways I'm really excited to see your entry.  I like your style and I hope you knock out a few good comics.  I have to admit I prefer the coloring you use on the business card and I would love to see a whole comic from you using water color brush.  I'm not sure if it's because I'm tired out of my mind or not but I find the comic colors to be a tad bit too bright.

Yeah I quite like the water colour brush for the comics! unfortunately, I downloaded the brush set with only a few pages left to go with Boek vs Wizzie, so I didn't think I'd get away with suddenly changing the colouring technique. So future comics will be coloured in that style, but my latest entry (as you can see from the preview) won't be. As you said about the colours being a tad too bright, I often get mixed opinions on the matter - some say it's bright but not too bright, others say it's over-powering - hopefully with the water colour brush it will saturate it enough to kind of settle in between those remarks.

Thanks!

Sorry I couldn't reply sooner everyone! The typo was pointed out to me on deviantART but I was unable to get to my photoshop till just now! Much appreicated though. And thanks!

Don't expect my battle to look like this - Future battles will be coloured like this, but 'Wizzie vs Boek' hasn't been, sorry if it's a disapointment!

An Autumn design for Wizzie (stars are an ongoing theme) and a lineart of her in her undwear, why? I don't know. Wizzie has very large legs, and I'm concentrating on trying to draw them more dominate (which they aren't in the autumn design) Best example I can think of how her body is similar too is Nani from Lilo and Stitch (Lilo's sister).

I've been having complications while drawing my first battle entry with Wizzie's fringe (bangs) so i've slightly altered them be easier to draw at a varied amount of angles. This isn't perfectly correct, and doesn't show that the kick is in motion very well. Despite some errors, I'm still reasonably pleased with how it turned out because I don't often draw fighting poses.

Comic strip about the London Riots, Greggs is a bakery popular in the North of England. During the riots, there have been debate to bring out the giant hoses.

Because it appears you can't delete forum posts, I'll just replace this post with a vent picture of Wizzie:

Ouch I hadn't noticed it before but that picture looks absolutely painful.  Her right foot is bending where her shin should be.  Ouch ouch.
