I liked both of these. I've always liked the comics where both opponents either work their problems out, or help each other in a common goal or team up rather than just straight up fight. While I can agree both were similar, I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing.
Pineapple Pocky - I really liked your backgrounds on page 1 and 2. The black and white style is very cool!
JBA1987 - I laughed at Duck Girl's slurred speech, and when she passed out. The double knockout on page 4 looks great!

Tinman you're totally right and I don't really know how I dropped the ball on the character thing; I love how they work in my mind and Bunny-Girl, who's usually way more cheerful just seems frustrated and pissed the whole time XD Next time!
Shen-- my drive to make things extra cute always causes that :C I really need to step up my face-game B) Next time!

Well, AGCS is a bunch of thieves (based on previous comics), so storywise, I guess it revolved more on that then Florence's very vague storyline.
I tried zooming out more, but I guess bad habits are always hard to break. Or maybe that this comic page is 7x11". Anyways, thanks Mr. Tinman and Shen!

So many cute bunny people, haha! Like Tinman said these comics are pretty similar but I dont blame either of you, sometimes you get these characters that you just know how the story would go (thats why instead ob battling, Pocky and I did a collab lol)
Pocky- haha, thanks for the cameo, and the fondue kit! I love it! XD always love a Gwen and Regi cameo too (I guess thats what happens when Void city only has two canon cops!) your inking style is getting consistently clearer- still that rough messiness thats distinctively you but easier to follow now. i think I would consider pulling back the camera a little more often (I'm one to talk, I know) for visual clarity on the scene- at the end the change of location and wardrobe sort of lost me on the first read! But Florence is cute as always and I liked seeing how he interacted with Bunny Girl!
JBA- when i saw them come out of a bar I confess my fisrt thought was "wait, are they not like fifteen??" I had to read your profile to see they were in their 20s! You draw such big round faces and eyes I thought they were teenagers lol! sorry ^^; Everything about this is adorable from the colours to the circular designs to the costumes, thats what makes it so great haha! i would say you have a bit of same-face going with your girls, I would work to distinguish them a bit more from each other, physically. As far as their personalities go, well I am sure we will see more of that shine through as they battle more. Nice team-up action scene, I think this is a good first comic! Looking forward to seeing more from you!

I was looking forward to this battle quite a bit as I dig all of your characters and your art style and while the comics were short, they were also sweet. MY issue is that you told essentially the same story which is either a limitation of the characters or simply a seasonal side effect.
Pocky you've got some nice panel direction and ink flows going on here. Your storytelling has become alot clearer and your layouts are admirable. You only lost me at the end where it seems your consistency ran dry.
JBA- I love your characters and the potential they have but I expect more personality. Your art only really delivered on page four and the sense of environment and panel differentiation was lacking. Change up your camera and angles some- your palette and lines are solid. Cheers to future comics and developing the girls further!

jba1987: Thanks Pocky! B) Yours was also fantastic; the girls looked great and I was especially a fan of the pick-pocket bit XD I love your watercolor(?) and your knack for using blacks; I've been trying lately and it doesn't come easy so I was nervous to use it here for lack of time! And about the eyes-- dang yo I don't even know why I didn't make them black. Hrm.
Next time I'll try and utilize my days and manage them a bit better :X
(PS- I gladly concede the loss of that hoodie to Florence because that's adorable)

I put a few drops of black in into watercolor brush pens to give it the grey tones, but the final texture and slight color adjustments were done in Photoshop. It's all about taking chances here in Void. Just not crazy impossible things (okay maybe a few), but I think you know what I mean. I look forward to your next comic!

JBA, this is freakin amazing. I'm glad I stole you away from Sabu for a battle! Bunny lovers, unite!
Thank you so much for using his new design sheet, he looked great in your comic! I was never able to pull off a very good 'I'm a boy!' joke in my comic, but I think you did super fab on this comic :3
Although you were aiming for a limited color palate, the colors seem a little too in-harmony with each panel. A little more contrast and variety with the colors may have made a much stronger impact on distinguishing the characters apart, or emphasizing certain panels over others. One thing that may or may not have helped would be changing Florence's eye color back to his normal color (which is actually pure black). The fact that they both have similar eye colors in this comic makes it tough to distinguish at very first glance. Just because you have one color as the shading doesn't mean you can't use more whites and blacks in your comics--embrace the darkness! Well, actually, it's all trial and error, so my suggestion is that now is the time to roll the dice and take some chances and experiment!
Nonetheless, I loved the comic a lot, and welcome to void!

What a hectic week-- holiday stuff and extra time on other responsibilities > . <
So my pages are submitted early, since I'm also losing most of tomorrow to things out of my control. Wish I had the extra day to lay down some colors or something but hey, there's always next time!
Looking forward to yours, and shakin in my Adidas, Pocky!
