Well, Erika's sort of made a career making comics dealing with that subject matter. The interviewer should have known she would have no problems talking about that.

Freakin' love Erika. Only she would break up virginity into locales. Butt virginity, mouth virginity... XD

she'll probably scare the shit out of the rest of the contestants

Which would also be hilarious because she is like, the nicest lady ever.

I keep wondering, if she wins, what she'll write as a little comment on her comic.  Last time it was 'you guys, this is totally easy..." or something like that, but if she puts up a second comic is it gonna be like "you guys, stop picking me >:(" haha

I thought it was really cute how nice and complimentary they were to Ty and how happy it made him!
His comic made no sense to me at all though... Am I stupid..? :S

I didn't really get it either. I hated the font, and there were too many word bubbles crammed into that last panel.

today's ep had an interesting challenge! I really don't know if I'd be able to describe a drawing like that very well at all. but go erika! and while the prize is nothing to sneeze at, seems to pale a bit in comparison to the HD cintiq haha.

I really dug this episode. I'm a sucker for these challenge type deals and its about time we paired these artists up for teamwork. Erika and Amy as a team was divine. I loved how in sync they were and seeing Amy get watery eyed over not only winning the challenge, but winning it with one of her art heroes warmed the cockles of my heart it did. <3 D'awww

Really enjoyed this episode, rika and Amy nailed that one out of the park for sure.  I have never had to do something like this before, but I have a feeling I would have been less descriptive and given general shapes/body part positions.

I felt so nervous when Mac said 'bulbous bit on the guitar pick head'.  I definitely would have done exactly what Abby did.

Also I have to say, being paired up with Ty on this challenge would have been awful, so if only for this specific challenge, I'm a little glad he went home last time :S

Ohhhhh snap the next elimination round is going to be tough to guess because both are strong artists! I'm thinking Lexxy might not make it because while her stuff is beautiful, I just don't know if she can work quickly.

That was my same thought on that, her work is fantastic, but I feel like in terms of efficiency Tavis may trump her.  On the other hand, I'm super happy to see Katie sitting safe in the house this time.

Yeah, I like Lexxy and think her stuff is lovely, but I agree with Nick that it was very uncomfortable and painful to watch what went down. It's totally fine to disagree with someone and to tell them why, even in a professional environment, but for fuck's sake you have to know when to shut up too. I didn't mind that she initially disagreed and said why, but she went on and on and on, which is where she really messed up. When you're obviously making the guy that's telling you how to market yourself pissed, you should just let that battle go. It's important to know how to pick and choose your battles.

I personally would have taken Katie's route, which is be nice, but don't let people walk over you if they start shit. I totally understand what Lexxy was saying, and on a personal twitter I think her method is fine. But if you intend on being a public figure, you're gonna get your share of assholes and should deal with them accordingly.

EPISODE-10 ELIMINATION

As we enter the third elimination the Artists will not only test their art, but their ability to manage the clock.

I honestly felt Tavis' was better, not by a landslide or anything, but just that it was a lot more cleaned up, and despite the content I felt it was tasteful enough.  Things were implied but actions were not shown.  Reading through some of the comments I saw a lot of 'how could they let Tavis win that comic was full of filth'.

Meanwhile in Canada: shirtless women, legally!

The thing about Lexxy's comic is that while the content was great, and the art was very good for the time frame, it wasn't as clean as it could have been, especially in comparison.  There were a few shaky or broken lines, details weren't done out to the panels, in terms of ideas, I think they were both very on par - in terms of execution? Definitely Tavis.  I also personally felt Lexxy's joke fell a bit flat at the end, probably also due to the fact she stated later in the comment she didn't remember what an areola was.

Tavis' punchline had me rolling.

It went pretty much how I expected. I had actually expected Lexxy to not be able to finish at all, so that was good she was able to somewhat finish.

I love how Mike got tight that he had to choose one of them and went off on Abby's tangents for a third elimination.

I'm honestly surprised Abby hasn't been up for elimination yet. She really deserved to be over the tshirt design.

interesting! despite lexxy's not being finished, I was still pulling for her during the decision making. I'm not like, pissed off that she lost or anything though, it was close. I was surprised how angry he got though, haha. if I were in his shoes though, I'd probably be thinking the same thing about abby though x: like, without knowing her, or having seen any of her actual work. on another note, I really don't think I could come up with anything for "areola" and "circus" haha, so kudos to both of them on that alone.

I was really excited to see this ep though, and was not disappointed!

I loved Lexxy's comic beyond anything I've seen from Strip Search so far. Sorry to see her go.

Dang though, it's going to be awkward when Abby goes through to elimination.

TEAM TAVIS

I liked his a little bit better. Probably just personal taste, because I think they were both pretty much on the level in terms of the strength of the idea.

Oh, and I totally agree with Mike in that I didn't know Lexxy was capable of the comic she made. I thought she just draws pretty people and Homestuck. So that was a nice surprise.

And according to Twitter, Abby's handling the bashing like a champ haha. Yeah her art is easily the weakest, but she's got a great sense of humor, which her comics reflect.

I can't imagine how hard it is to think and draw with two guys taking at you all the time.

I want a repeating gif of Ty wiggling his eyebrows in the opening.
AND DAT ELIMINATION!!! I really did enjoy how they went off about Abby yet again, and I got a kick out of them being like" oh why can't she be here so we can kick her out already!!" Oh man its so funny. I really thought lexxy would pull through. I think everyone at the house expected lexxie to come through that door. They looked disappointed.
