just got a bootleg of star trek.
i'm a huge trek fan; huge.
and it was a pretty sweet movie. i had a few little problems with it, but it was good.
if you're a fan of the show you'll probably know what i'm talking about.
little shit like at the end pike's in a wheel chair and can talk; way better off than how he ends up in the original series. and spock had a little too much emotion i think. he always had a smidgin'; little hints of human emotion, but with uhura and their office romance? i thought that was a bit much for his character. i though their version of the enterprise should've more closely resembled to OG ship. & how about vulcan & romulus getting fucking destroyed? that was a huge bummer. i'm just a little nit-picky. it was an alternate universe though, time travel & whatnot, so yeah. if you're a fan of the show you'll probably like it & if you've never seen it before or weren't fond of the series i think you'll still find it thrilling.

oh & there was a hot orion babe. pretty cool.

I liked it a lot.

i loooooved that movie!
& it had an unsuspected treat in it for me when i saw the Eugene character & i immediatly knew whom he was based off of (Eugene Hutz from the band Gogol Bordello) which i really enjoyed.
greatgreatgreeeaaaattt movie.

i've been raping my eardrums with a lot of cannabis corpse lately.
seems that a lot of my friends have never heard of them, which i find odd.
the lead singer is a dude from another richmond band called battlemaster and land phil from municipal waste is their bassist.
totally comprised of a bunch of dudes from tight thrash/death metal/punk backgrounds.
andy horn(vocals) is incredible.

anyway,
they play parodies of cannibal corpse songs with the focus of the song taking a marijuana based approach.
while still retaining the gore and brutality of cannibal corpse.
one song being "mummified in bong water"

so yeah.
if you haven't you should totally check them out.
& battlemaster.
shit's intense.
