So I've got a few ideas in mind, but I think I've finally decided on who my first character will be.

She's the "fallen angel" concept flipped on its head; instead being an outcast demon. She can absorb the life essence of weaker beings and distribute it, allowing her to heal others or revive small things. She can absorb strength from larger creatures as well, but for it to be lethal she'd have to go at it for a looong time (based on how powerful the subject is).
Marigold could potentially heal without drawing life from something else first, but she'd be instead draining from herself. The health of the flowers on her head would be an indicator of how well off she is.
She's quite young (as far as demons go at least), and for starters would be pretty naive. She'll likely value the life of plants over creatures early on, but as she learns that could potentially change.

Hey, what have we here?
This is neat, excited for what you have to submit. Even if pages aren't complete you can put them here for feedback if you feel you need it. For checking on Void history, I think the best that can be done about that is checking out the comics tab and going to the archive. Honestly, we don't have much in the way of "easily checking on void history", so reading recent comics and maybe talking to some of the community might be the best thing to do for now. We've got a discord if that's something you'd be into.

I understand feeling the need to fit your stuff sensibly into a long and convoluted canon and get all the mythology right so that it's like it was always there, but don't worry too hard about it - it's a common saying on Void that Nothing Is Canon, you really can just pick and choose whatever you want or care about to be the case in your storylines, or even completely contradict them! That said, if you want to include some aspect of Void history, the best way to know about it would probably be asking around on the Discord for if there's any relevant precedent.

Nature Spirit and the gardener that accidentally revived it.
They'd run a florist shop, with little human Milly here helping to nurture what plant life remains in a bustling city.

I don't know if it bothers you or not, but we have a character called Marigold already http://entervoid.com/index.php?action=character;id=1940 You can still call her Marigold, I just wanted to point it out just in case. This Marigold is inactive so they probably wouldn't get mixed up tbh.
Void history? So, there is no canon in VOID at all. Simply shared stories and plots that some people like to use. Void City is a common setting, but it's not a requirement to use it in your comics. But also check out http://help.entervoid.com/ since you're new, and please feel free to ask us any other questions you have!

The Devil's in the details, and this one is a hell of a stickler.
Valdis is a collector for unfinished contracts and a strict follower of protocol. She's also not much a fan of those that summon unlicensed undead.

Don't worry about the armor! This is void. Anything you want is Canon or Not!Canon after all. I love her and I love the implications of that last statement haha.
