That last line before "scene" should belong in a Duke Nukem game.

eh, i wouldn't say superb. gak does some okay stuff and he gets pretty good stunt fighters, but i've always felt that his stuff lacked a lot of impact and imagination. part of that is shooting, part of it is performance, the rest is directing. it's neat he's got this gig for Start, but none of the three qualities seem all the way there.

as far as indie-level fights go, if you like that style of slo-mo and speed ramp, Thousand Pounds definitely sets the bar: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sR5-NKFYB9Q

I generally enjoy tales of mythical tricksters like Coyote, Anansi the Spider and the Monkey King so I found this french animated film which is right up my alley.  Kirikou and the Sorceress.  It's all on youtube in English:

And here is a much shorter animated feature (about six minutes) which I just love right now:

So has anyone seen The External World by David O'Reilly? (that bloke who did Octocat Adventures on youtube, if you've seen that.) I saw it at an animation festival on the big screen and it was amazing.

I should warn you it's pretty......unusual....
