The colors and rendering in this are very nice. The characters' anatomy is a little strange. They have strange posture and sometimes their torsos seem a bit lopsided. I'd recommend studying the shape of the spine and neck and how those affect the body in different poses. I thought that the panels were well-staged and you made good shot calls so I was never confused about what was going on in the story (except the ending joke, which has already been discussed). Overall I think this comic shows some good improvement.

i couldn't tell if it was like a chain link or what, I didn't even notice that the head spike had fallen off, now that I know, it would have been funny enough to just have the spike fall off so we could notice that much more easily

good effort on trying to make the joke a little higher brow (even though that joke likely wouldn't even register with a portion of the site that is not well-versed in economics/politics/current events/american events from a decade ago) but "2007" as a sound effect just doesn't read and the way you drew it didn't help register that either. Seeing as the comic itself is already a subtle parody of that event, This is a joke where I think Occam's Razor rings true and I would have cut it earlier

Eh, yeah, I did get bit a concerned after the fact that the last panel wouldn't read at all.

The little spike on DEUS is meant to have suddenly snapped off and fallen, except it's falling to the ideosyncratic sound effect of "2007", because like, housing bubble burst? You know. Economics.

There's probably a lot of better ways I could depict that specific gag, but I was basically done by that point and I didn't want to do a whole lot of revising.

It is kind of funny Iri even has the little tattoos below her eyes like Karrin, but rest assured, she's an actual unique character on this website, I didn't just put Karrin on the rack and stretch her out.

This is funny LOL! The art is looking great, your backgrounds are really coming together, i can tell you put a lot of effort into this! Deus as an apartment complex is hilarious and i love the schemes of these two! The two things Im confused by are 1. the last panel like Pyras said, whats "2007"? and 2. That Iri woman looks distractingly like Karrin Klash. But Keep it up, I'm starting to really look forward to more Invyn and Jasper antics~

I love the idea of Deus now being a residential area.

Right, everything's uploaded, so feel free to put this up a day early if you see this, mods!

For the benefit of archive readers: DEUS comes from Armageddon 2017, but for full context, all you need to know is it died and now it's a gigantic empty husk with a big ditch running away from it.

There's no particular reason this comic focuses on this character, by the way! Just thought they might fit the story well.

There shouldn't be afaik any real reason what I'm doing here would conflict with anyone else's plans because I feel like it'd be easily written around, but fair enough if that's what you stick to!

Reecer6: callin' effective first dibs on the discarded remains of deus!
Quote

I'll be disregarding this canon then - the defenders and I intended DEUS to be available for everyone to have a part of, as a gift to the whole community. Not just one person.

But by all means, good luck with the comic it will be interesting to read!
