Great job, both of you! I never would've expected these two styles to meet, but such is the magic of the PPT! Looking forward to more comics soon!

IB308: Seems like it was a bit tricky to interpret Clown Princess with your art style/technique. Especially when portraying her silly faces. I think you were taking it too much on a realistic approach when you drew and shaded Clown Princess, and if you let go of the realistic boundaries of how people really move their muscles a bit, a bit exaggeration on her facial expressions would have really helped this out.

AtomicFish: Color palate was nice, although since the narration bubbles were yellow it blended in too much with the rest of the colors. Either making it lighter or complete white might have been a lot easier to read at first glance.

IB308: BEautiful black and white! BUT I think you failed with your interpretation of the clown princess. Besides the bizarre tooniness compared to Kya, the way the clown nose was drawn has ended up making her look like she's a character from Goof Troop or similar Disney TV show. But the pacing and punchline are definitely spot on.

Atomicfish: Interesting but I'm afraid I got lost by the last panel. Did clown make her stab that, or if not, why did she end up stabbing that? Why didn't it affect clown princess? And was it still Kya narrating? Got confused :(

good work regardless

Puzzlething... with the exception of the VS head shot at the beginning where I believe it's appropriate.  Nothing was pulled from my design sheet.  I re-painted every shot of my character.  What are you talking about... take a closer look.

You're obviously a really talented artist, I can look at your stuff for one second and know that. There's nothing wrong with copy pasting if the story/joke calls for it, but you use it in spots where it totally harms your jokes and draws attention away what's going in the comic. It's especially odd that it looks like you pulled stuff from your design sheet.   I think you almost made those shortcuts necessary because you're trying to make a comic with such a heavily rendered style that it would take anyone a long time to get everything on the page.

I think if you take the voting week and work out a more simple/truncated style you'll do worlds better on the next round, because you've definitely got the skills to create lovely work.

I did really like the hyper-violent panel of Clown Princess getting her head blown off, you got some great action in that splatter!

AHHHHHHHHH SO CUTE. This was such a sweet comic dude, I already died in a diabetic coma with a smile on my face. I love love love the juxtaposition of Kya's super dramatic paranoia and the slapstick going on right in front of her. Your stories are so good, and the characters are so much fun to look at.  I'm completely in love with Clown Princess, which I feel I say a lot in PPT, but I totally mean it every time!

I agree with Lefred that you stuck to your colour palette a little too closely. Not because stuff should be a certain color, just because I think you could've played around with the exact tone and value a little bit to keep things interesting and little more readable. I do think using a Red Blue Yellow color scheme is incredibly bold though, and very fitting. I've always been scared to try it. I wish you had leaned harder into the blue shadows idea though, shading the yellow with a darker version of itself sort of harmed the unity of colour to me.

IB: Contrary to what some other people said, I really liked the look of ClownPrincess in your comic - the realistic rendering of a cartoon gives a very interesting result, which I personally enjoyed; A few drawbacks for copying & pasting but other than that it's a short, sweet comic and well executed :)

AtomicFish: So sweet, made me smile and giggle throughout the entire comic; the ending feels a bit abrupt after the nice long build-up but the moral feels all the more bittersweet for it. Nice work!

IB: I'm not sure exactly how to rate your comic. It looks really well-rendered, but you clearly used a lot of copy and paste to make things easier for yourself. I wish there was a little bit more of a setup to the story, since you just kinda plopped us down in the middle of the action, but hey! At least I got to see a princess die, instead of just seeing blood splashing from off-panel or a summary note or something. I have to agree that Clown Princess looks really awkward in your comic; I would have liked to see you push it a little more and make her look realistic, since that seems to be your style. Anyway, I really want to see more from you!

Atomicfish: I always love your stuff! Clown Princess is a total cutiepants! I like your little "moral of the story" moment, especially since the whole comic was this contrast between how serious Kya was and how goofy everything else was. :) :) :) :) :)

IB. Yes, you obviously have some talent, but you also seem to have a comfort zone that this crossed; Clown princess is kind of horrible, it's like, you tried to bring some of the cartoon-ness of the original design and incorpprate it in yours, but it's at a bad place in the uncanny valley. She just looks extremely ackward and creepy as all fuck. Also, copy-pasting characters and panels is kind of cheap. And I mean, yeah, everything else looks great, but there's not enough of the else to compensate.  I did find the spontaneous combustion of the million dollar bill and the ending amusing, though I only got those upon second read because the timing is a bit off. Like, I read 'ah! You win' as laughing because she won and not the other way around because there is no time between those two things. Does that make sense?

Fish. This was a really good effort, you're just getting better with every comic and it's just so great to follow that. I do feel like you were a bit too strict with your color palette and while it gives the comic a very distinct feel, it does detract from some elements. Like the knife. That is not knfe-blue and they look like rubber knives because of it. Or the tounge when she's trying the trick (that whole page is adorable by the way) it's the same red as all the other reds, the same as the red things she's trying to pull out of her mouth, so it took me a while of just staring at it before getting what she was doing wrong. Also, that panel of Kya's weapons, it just doesn't look like anything. Really cute comic bro.

What I mean to say... well, while IB308's entry is really, really pretty, it doesn't have much else going for it.  Unless it's some kind of satire of badassery I'm not really getting... I just didn't like it, and I'm having a hard time articulating why.  Hence, awkward.
