J.Vandermeer:
Energy I absolutely want to know more about the Ponch-monsters, so consider my interest piqued. Do you plan on continuing this arc somewhere else? I need closure! I crave it like Dungeon Masters crave pizza.
The action was a little difficult to follow. I'm not sure what's happening on the first panel of the 10th page-- is that a different werewolf backflipping and giving Ponch the finger?
A thousand points for every backflip pictured, by the way. Makes me chuckle every time.

The Ponch wolf was mostly just to have another werewolf backflipping (Hiemie wanted more werewolf backflips, I believe), but it could make for an interesting side-story. Also, in the first panel of the 10th page, it's the same one, but his left arm hid most of his hair, so that made it a little hard to tell.

Actually, I may as well use this doublepost to say--
Qyzex, the last page is just pure comic gold. The paaaacing~ and, of course, Ponch's return to character. Good to see his week in the desert hasn't given him a fundamental new lease on life.

I am so glad Jesse was pictured in her underthings in both submissions. I needed the eye-candy. <3
Qyz, looks like you're having all sorts of fun with lighting, which is GREAT because the vast expanse of desert wouldn't have given you much to do with the backgrounds. There are some interesting shots in here. It's good to see you playin' around.

so many backflips, haha. I like to think that's the only way werewolves can get around.
That was fun

Oh hey, there was an extension.
Anyways, I had an internet scare, but thankfully it came back on, so I uploaded what I have so far, just in case it happens again. I guess with the extension now, I'm less worried

Artist
Your poses are rather rigid and even the more animated moments like the impact from the gunshot or the flip kick seem to lack punch! You just need to focus on picking the right moment and showing that in your panels- the windup- and the moment after impact. I think a good artist to examine for you would be Mike Allred- he's got that similar sense of floaty posing going on. XStatix or Madman would be good for you. Altogether you've got some keen character development here and you're improving- keep that all up my friend, you'll grow by WEREWOLF BACKFLIPS- er leaps and bounds.
Qyzex: Damn you've got such an admirable sense of color, its sick shading like this that brings the heat of the desert and cool of the cave to light. The continuity of Ponch and Jimmy is a sweet little cameo and the final snap of Jessie's underboobs top it off.
I think there may have been a missed opportunity in the mesas and desert landscapes- more of a sense of discovery to be had there. I enjoy the psychological implications of your comics- always that just barely suppressed sexual tension simmering beneath the surface. Ponch is truly a lecherous old man at heart.
