Woortt, time to respond to stuff.

@Rofl: Thanks man! About the anatomy, I actually do some pretty decent stuff in life drawing, however I seem to get a barrier sometimes in trying to incorporate what I learn from that into my material. Also I need to just practice drawing beefier characters in general haha. I wanted to do more with this comic, and get the pacing not to be so damn fast, but I was busy and had to actually swap out my original ending to the comic, so the laser from the moon probably would have been way more dramatic and probably filled with more tension had I had the time to crank out more pages :). Thanks a lot for the great comments dude!

@Coatl: I can actually pull off some really tight linework, it was just a matter of time really :P. I also chose to push some more colouring on here so the lines sort of suffered in places. Thanks!

@Dan: There is definitely gonna be more stuff with this character in the future, I've got stuff in the works right now with a friend but the battle is going to go up whenever it is actually done/ready since we are both rather busy with college and other stuff. Thanks a lot for the awesome fight man, and I hope to read more of whatever you decide to do with Sketchy in the future :)

@Shojin: Thanks man! I am glad you liked it despite the rushedness of a lot of it, and yeah poor Ivan got sick. Kids don't need to see dudes getting shot to pieces haha. Seven will return for sure eventually, I do have stories kind of worked out slightly. Thanks for the great fight man and I can't wait to see what Ivan gets himself into next time (unless he is seeking help for this trauma).

@Mister Kent: Thanks :D. The story will go somewhere and hopefully with much better writing with longer deadlines and just tighter looking art all around.

@Slaggle and Runic: Thanks guys! I worked my ass off especially the last two rounds here because I had to finish my intended story and I didn't want to leave it open, plus I wanted to push myself to see how far I could go in a week.

Anyway thanks for the invite to the tourney in any case, it was a lot of fun and I learned a lot through the last few rounds that I did this. I gotta thank my bros at WFA (if they see this haha)  who had to put up with me working on this and putting off things there that I should have probably been helping with sooner, and just overall giving me the support and drive to keep doing this and getting me accustomed to doing 1 week battles biweekly for like...fuck, a year now haha.I've come a long way in that year and I want to keep going.  I also have to thank Heimie for thinking of us over there too and extending an offer to us as well, thanks bro. So yeah, I had a lot of fun and maybe in the future I'll join in on another tourney, which ATN sounds like so much fun but I need to focus on college, that battle with a good friend, and my own personal comic project I've had in the pipe forever but never had time to do it because of comic battles :)

beardedmenace - I dig your style. I really appreciate how expressive your characters are!
shojintakaru - Boek's really likable, and I like the Junior Crusade! I'm calling it now: next big gang on Void!
orange - Love the colors, as always, and am also curious to see where the story goes next!

@ Qyz - Thank you, I'll continue to work to improve more and more.

@ Orange - I really loved your story. lol, poor Ivan got sick and he'll probably be traumatized by this. Everything in your story flowed very nicely even if it was a bit rushed.  I hope to read more of your works in the future and I like the ominiousness of the ending, will Seven return to exact revenge on those who brought him down?  I guess we'll have to stay tuned to find out.

@ ROFLQ - Yeah I knew that the ending would give people mixed feelings.  I had actually had a longer comic in mind and the conclusion was different in my mind, but because of time I had to drastically cut it down in order to make the deadline.  There were other parts that were supposed to be more drawn out as well.  This was actually my first time using an array of gray markers, so I was hesitant to put more grays down, though I agree it would have helped to add more and work on backgrounds (it's like my Achilles heel or something).

@ Coatl - Yeah the poses and I'll try to do stuff outside of the anime-scope.

@ Dan - Glad you like it, I have a lot of things to work on.  Your story had a good start, I'm curious where you were going to take it so I look forward to the BB.   I also look forward to seeing Sketchy's future comics outside of the tournament.

I want to thank both Dan and Orange once again for battling me.  I consider it a great honor to do battle with such great artists in a tournament no less.  I learned a lot from being in this tournament and I feel I've grown a bit in skill and understanding what I can do with comics and that I could push things a lot more.  I had a lot of fun doing this tournament despite the stressors of a one week deadline for each round.  I never expected to actually get this far in the tournament and I consider myself to be extra lucky to have this opportunity.

Thank you to all the participants in the tournament, I learned a lot from each of your battles.  Thank you to the commentators for your advice and critiques.  And thank you to the voters for reading all the comics.  : )

Coatl - I use a few, all from blambot.com.  Sketchy's text is Evil Genius, regular speech bubbles are Digital Strip 2.0, titles/SFX and such are Creative Block.

ROFLQU - Boek is there as a continuation from last round.  The scenes connection these two comics (and finishing this one) with be in the BB version.  He has character connections to both Ivan and Sketchy set up in past comics, both mine and Cherubas's, so I felt it fitting he be there; tho I did knock him out early to allow the focus to fall on the three main characters of this round.

Shoj - I like it!  Some poses are still looking stiff, but I think your art is only getting tighter with each round.  Nice ending, I like Ivan's comment at the end.  Heartfelt and I feel fits the characters well enough.  Yay for cameos, and Carebear powers XP

Orange - How you managed such beautiful colors I will never know.  Really great stuff, really expressive.  Thought you handled the characters well.  And yay foreboding!  Looking forward to the future of Luna, you're sending her out there with a bang!

Dan what font do you use?

Shojin. Loved the look but you need to work on standing poses and feet.
Try to write outside the usual anime-inspired stuff. I really don't blame you though since I'm very anime-inspired as well.

Orange, I'm also impressed with the color scheme the only thing I can tell you iis to tighten your linework of characters more.

Shojin? Takaru?: I thought that ending of everyone having a super-love beam was just too japanese of a way to resolve it and was kind of a cop out, but hey, I can accept that. Tough to resolve and stuff. I wish you had given us more backgrounds or whatever, because it was killing me with all the white space. Even using your array of markers more would have been a real treat. You need to work a little on your hands, but I can tell you're gonna do just fine on here.

Orange: Good job, that's no small feat to get all those colors and stuff. Your angles were cool and we got a nice helping of setting and backgrounds as well. You need to work a bit on your anatomy, since poor Salvatore is all kinds of messy. I think the super spiral beam was kind of silly looking and you could have done the shot a lot more dramatically, but it was cool. I like how you handled Seven's death. I liked your selective use of sketchy (AAAAAAAAAAAAH ITS THE SECRET WORD) lines where it counted. I hope you stay with us.

You all should be very proud of yourselves for getting this far. I just hope you all remember that this is not a Speed Death Tournament and your career on Void has just begun. I hope regardless who wins, you all go on to make more comics.

Dan: I felt Boek was kind of an unnecessary addition to this comic, he didn't take away much but he ultimately didn't need to be there. Ivan probably could have taken his place. I think Sketchy was kind of strangely out of character for this fight and I was slightly disappointed you didn't continue the storyline you had going. As for the art, it's a bummer you ended up being unfinished and sketchy (AHHHHHHHHH ITS THE SECRET WORD) but that happens. I hope you go back to fighting soon. I really wanna see what you can do when you have 4 weeks to work.

Shojin? Takaru?: I thought that ending of ever

@Qyz - Thanks man! I just didn't have the energy in me to do another sixteen pages this time around...this tourney has worn me out :)

@Pyras - haha Yeah I might not have explained it very well I guess, that could have been my fault ^^;.

Dan - Too bad man that you couldn't finish, I hope to see this BB someday!

Shojin - I enjoyed this bro, was better than the previous rounds for sure :)

I am flattered though you both decided to use this scenario for the finale haha! Thanks guys :)

I demand the return of the Moon for the next Armageddon threat!

Sucks you couldn't finish, Dan, but I am glad you posted something, and it was still pretty entertaining, for what you had there. Look forward to the BB!

Shojin, pretty good. Goofy, and the art was a bit better than in previous battles, I think. Good job on that. Got a good chuckle from the Deus Ex Machina Beam. Good job :3

Orange, man, you have rocked out some nice pages this whole tourney, and they kept getting better. A bit face paced, but still damn nice comic. Fitting end, I think. Good job

Excellent job

Uploaded and thumbs sent.  Fair warning, I had a very off week.  Great timing, right?  Hope you all enjoy anyway.  Expect a BB of the full story down the line.

Hope all went well for my opponents, looking forward to what you guys worked up!  Thanks for having me in this tourney.  Wish I had topped it off a bit more classily, but either way it was a wild ride!  Learned a lot, and hope to do lots more!

Uploading, sending thumbs, it moves a bit fast but I don't have the energy in me to have made another 16 pager, so this is what I could manage in less than a week really. My sister also moved in here on Friday and I've been busy the past few days with that and have not really drawn much since then, so if the story feels a bit fast that is why :P. Still happy with what I did knock out, I am super tired as this tournie has been a big drain on me physically especially. Anyway, I hope you guys all enjoy what I have put a lot of time into, I had a lot of fun participating and I am excited to see what my opponents have cooked up ^_^!

Super excited : D

Thanks Jim! Good luck to my awesome opponents, this won't be an easy fight and I'm going to give it what I've got. Kinda limited a bit since my sister is moving here on Friday so I'll be busy with this and preppin' up the place, but hey, if I could manage what I did last time with college HW this shouldn't be as bad :)

Psyched to see what Shojin and Dan will create! This is going to be an epic match regardless of what happens :D

Now this is a rather assorted group: A Russian circus Kid, a 4th wall breaking living doodle, and a space girl from the moon.

And from the looks of it they are going to save the world....

This is why you have to love Entervoid. Its the only place that, not only can that make sense but be completely awesome at the same time. :)

Can't wait to see what you guys have in store for us. ROCK ON!
