Hey James, thanks for this match man. I'm super excited you came back for this and even more excited I got to battle a legend. It was truly an honor, seriously.

Nakia: Thanks man and you will get to see more of him! Well, at least for one more round :)

Justin: Thanks, I'll work on my environments next round. Saturday morning cartoon for sure!

4p: Thanks, i'll try and work on my faces next round.

Adam: I'll try and get less sleep next round, I'll need every hour I can get

Bobo: Thanks bro, I'll work on those points next match

Axelord: Thanks, I'll work on my anatomy for shizzle

Foghammer: Thanks bro

Sheldon: Thanks man, I'll work on bringing my next opponent on Anthony's world

Synje: Thanks for getting me to come back man. It's nice to see your stuff has improved greatly. Your comic was fun to read and I have nothing more to add that hasn't been said. Anthony is an awesome character, and I hope to see more of him. Good job.

Silver: Your art is beautiful to look at. I liked the glove at the end bit. I feel like the actual fight could have been more interesting, I get that the time constraint didn't allow it, but it would have been awesome to see a back and forth slugfest between the two characters. I would love to see what you pull off with more time allotted.

I also thought it was awesome that the two of you had such similar ideas.

@eric: you really stepped up your game for this, and it was pretty impressive. you should be real proud of the effort you put in. despite the effort and detail you put into the characters and bgs, some of the environments still felt a little empty. on a side note, anthony analog feels like a 90s saturday morning cartoon, and I can get behind that.

@silver: your gradient colored tones were really interesting. the story may have been pretty simple, but it was enough for a 3 page comic. I like anthony's game over fade out at the end, that was a nice touch. ps: really nice to see you on void again.

Synje: I envy people like you who not only can think of a coherent story in a small amount of time, but introduce characters wiTH FRIGGIN' BACKGROUND STORIES THAT ARE CLEAR AND CONCISE IN 5 PAGES. GOSH. There was a motif and shit and I ono man, that was just really nice. Not too crazy about your color choices if you plan on sticking to just flats- not really appealing to the eye. Nice story though!

Silver: I loooovveeeed your color scheme and the actual texture in your comic but that was it- it was just really pretty to look at. Story wise it was kinna boring. I think if you take a little more time figuring out your opponent and on the story, you's gonna be a beast!

Synje:  A good effort.  If the lack of shading is intentional then I won't touch on that.  Your faces can use a tiny bit more work.

Silver:  Kinda liking that green monochrome thing you got going here.  I think Anthony could've put up a bit more of a fight, but what can be done within three to five pages?

Rather anti-climatic endings from the both of you, but aside from that, good efforts.

This was a good solid match you two I loved it!

Synje: 5 full pages, backgrounds, all in color, good story telling. But obviously you are getting too much sleep, cause some pages could have used some more shading and highlights. That is being said somewhat tongue in cheek cause this was a one week death match so what are you gonna do. I enjoyed this one though great job and I look forward to more, Anthony is a fun character with a lot of possibilities!

Siverlimit: I liked your drafting skills for sure you can throw down the line work in a very solid and strong way. Obviously your figures are on lock and you set up a really nice mood with the lighting. I with there was just a little more hint of the environment in page 2 and 3. you held a good look over the whole 3 pages and I figure time just came in and made you pull back on that area. But strong battle I loved it.

Synje: I also enjoyed the full-color finish to this comic. My first crit is that on page 3, I read the panel where the window breaks before I read the panel where he says "Wha--?" I think it's due to the fact that that big panel fills up the space to the right of both of those smaller panels, so even though you have them stacked on top of each other to indicate reading order, my eye is drawn to see what's going on in the action-packed panel to the left of the "Happy Robot Dance" panel more than it's drawn to what's going on in the relatively static panel on the right. I also would have liked to see at least one other tone on Bramble instead of her being all one color. Other than that, it was a pretty straightforward comic and pretty interesting the direction you took with it. I DO have to point out, however, that it's kind of disappointing the have a death match where the winner basically does nothing the whole time. I wish you had compressed the part of the comic talking about Bramble being a clone of the scientist's daughter and everything and spent more time showing Anthony Analog struggling with Bramble and the back-and-forth that really makes fighting scenes interesting.

Silverlimit: Right off the bat, I'm digging your style. The limited color palette is fun, and your shading really completes it. Really awesome artwork, man. As for your fight scene, you succeeded where Synje failed, but only partially. The way Bramble defeated Anthony felt anticlimactic, because there's no indication why she wouldn't just use that attack at the very beginning, and if there is a reason for that, you also failed to indicate why Anthony would be taken by surprise when she uses that attack. It would make sense if he were just being overconfident, which I guess you did kind of indicate, but it was just a really stupid move for him to make and I don't understand why he would be so dumb after showing a sense of strategic thinking right before that. I'd like to see a little more personality in your comics, so stuff like that feels natural instead of just plot points forced onto your characters.

Stellar effort from you both!

Synje - The full color pages and details in areas of the comic really show your strengths. However, you do lose sense of you anatomy in action shots and can overcrowd some of your pages with too much overall. All in all this is a strong entry. Keep it up.

Silverlimit - Your illustrations are just awesome. Truly inspiring traditional work here. Your backgrounds disappear after the fight starts and that weakens the drama. The pages are empty. The fight is a little short but for what you've got it's very promising. Try and gauge your time should you move on to the next round, or for any further battles you do. You've got what it takes, stick to it.

Dang. It's been a long time...

@ Synje: You have come a long way, bro. Not only does your style fit the overall late 80s/early 90s vibe of your character, you have great paneling and exaggeration of movement that allows the story to unfold visually. Awesome work. My only nitpick would be that there were some areas where I noticed you neglected shading that didn't jive quite as well as the rest of the comic.

@ Silver: Effin-a cotton. You have always had A+ style where I'm concerned. You definitely had an edge over Synje in this battle, but I felt like your direction with the laboratory was a little more cliche, and there wasn't anything to connect to the characters themselves. You did a lot with the three pages that are here, but I want more. But again (and no offense to Synje) you crushed it in the quality dept.

Missed you guys.

Eric: It's hard to get into your art because it's so clean, and you're dealing with such a gritty opponent. You need to make Bramble fit into AA's world aesthetically. Instead you stayed really true to Silver's design and Bramble just looked out of place. But I can't fault your clarity and full colour dammmn.

Silver: Looked great, and there was enough of a fight to keep me happy, but started to lose me with those biiiig open panels. BG's shouldn't be too hard if they're in a testing cwll, which is essentially 4 blank walls. I do wanna see where this goes though, cool ending.

NICE ONE GUYS XOXO

synje- super happy to see you went full color man- hadn't expected that. and very clean also- that chloroform bit got me a bit confused for a second- a high shot showing the dude on the floor would have been nice.

silver: sweet n short-  love the death panels "good...game" perfect.

synje, with "happy robot dance" I can't tell if you're a nerd or a genius for making up something lame a nerd kid would say. also they appear to be floating somehow during the battle at one point? but pretty solid

silver, this looks real good! but it also feels kinda empty, and story is pretty basic. like it coulda been anyone in there almost, though the glove thing was cool!

Yeah its crazy. I'd like to point out to everyone that the two people in the lab and the main dude having glasses and mustache and Anthony being all tied up, all coincidence. Crazy

Holy shit, we had a lot of similar elements Silver. We didnt even discus the scientists but we seem to create the same dynamics.

Thanks for the fight James, I love your art man.
