Ooh ho hoho, Ma you old scallywag you. All a set up! I definitely didn't see that coming. The whole time, I was watching Ma thoroughly concerned he was turning over a new leaf, or going straight which was profoundly disappointing. Still, despite that, I found myself leaning into my chair, wondering what Ma was all about with this rehab program. Can you imagine that mad bowl of soup warping the minds of the incarcerated? Got ourselves another Arkham asylum with him at the helm.
The infiltration of Mr. Murder and his firearm spree had me excitedly turning pages. It's so rad to see some conflict and action going pushing plot along. The sequence of the fight was played smoothly and kept me on my toes, though I will echo the sentiment on the colors as I didn't think it did much for the scene. Your strentghs definitely lie in your heavy blacks like your last page. That is for me, the signature 'look' of a Ma comic. It certainly fits much better with Ma's word bubbles and font.
Speaking of, I wonder if you could find a lest obstructive way to relay Ma's dialogue? Seeing his style of font and bubbles, then Gumshoe's style of font and bubbles and then on top of that Fabulous' made for a bit of a messy font fest.
Still, I'm amped to see what you got for us next. Talk about coming back into comics on void guns blazin'!

Good to see Ma back in action! the red pages feel a little washed out. nice action but a darker lineart may have been stronger. i like all the heavy black shadows on the last page, i think you work well with heavy blacks but the helicopter view of the first panel on page 1 is gorgeous too. An intriguing story, sometimes I got a littlle lost but i was able to pick it back up ion the end. i think sometimes your word bubbles are too big but i like the font you use for Ma. Nice comic! Cant wait to see where this goes!

I really enjoyed the action sequence in this. Action can be difficult to stage, but you made some nice shot calls. I love the color palette you used for the first half, but I think the colored lines during the red scene were not as effective. Fully black lines would have added contrast to the pages and upped the drama even more. Gumshoe's acting and dialogue near the end feels a little out of character. On page 18 especially, it almost feels like he's talking to an old friend rather than someone he just met. Looking at the little thumbnails, I think the last page with all its well-placed spot-blacks is the best composed page of the bunch. That style with the heavy use of black is where your strong-suit is.
I can't wait to see what nefarious plans Ma has in store for the city >:D
