Season's Greetings, fellow Voiders! Halloween's dead, so it's time for another Holiday Collaboration Comic,and it's time to bring some Christmas Cheer! The next event is
Xia's celebrating the Holidays by hosting a city-wide underground party and is inviting all of YOU to attend! Festive parades, karaoke, eggnog, dancing, brawls here and there maybe, performances, raves, everything's set and ready to make this the best Christmas/New Years/Hanukkah/Boxing Day/ you'll NEVER forget! I mean, unless you get too drunk. But that would just mean it was a sick party, so event successful either way!
How to Participate
-Sign your antendance [HERE] . You can check who is participating [HERE]
-Simply submit at least one page of your character(s) (or others) mingling with other participants of the event
-Though only one page is required to join in, you can make as many pages as you want, and they can be just made solely by you, or you can collaborate with other artists

As almost all of you are aware, there was a slight mix-up in coding, and comics are missing, as well as the site asking you to submit a past due comic challenge. Please bare with us as we work through the bugs to restore the site to it's previous state. Don't worry about your past comics, all of them are backed up automatically, and just needs to be linked back to the site soon.

Hey all you Invitational peeps! So round 1 is going to conclude, and sad to say, some will lose while others will advance. Don't be too bummed out tho, because this isn't the end of the road for you! Way back in void's history, we had a certain member challenge new people to matches so they wouldn't feel left out. We wanna continue that tradition and help others find matches to participate in. So this year I'm setting up the Welcome Wagon crew!
We have a couple of members willing to challenge you invitational folks once round 1 ends! They are:

Hey you! Yeah I'm talking to you lurkers and eager artists. I bet you've wanted to join EnterVOID for a long time, but never found the time to get those snazzy intro pages done. Well do I have some news for you. Introducing--
What's this all about, Mr/Ms. Mod person?
I'm glad you ask, future winner and all around awesome artist of this tournament!
The Void Invitational is EnterVOID's answer to search for fresh faces and even fresher blood! Been wanting to get in with your character sitting in the Incubator Thread? Are you entirely new to the site, or maybe a friend you know has been ITCHING to join? Sign right up! This is your chance to by-pass the requirements of an intro comic, and enter the fray!
EnterVOID has been pitting artists against each other in sequential matches for the past 14 years! We've been the longest running site to provide a place for artists to create comics and connect with other artists with the same passion for creating sequential art. EnterVoid usually has a set list of requirements to let an artist's character in: A fully colored design sheet, a biography, and a 2-4 page introduction story. For the Invitationals, you only need to provide us with some form of proof of your artistic skill (deviantart page, tumblr art blog, etc.)!
Finally, my chance to shine! How do I join?
Our list of painless requirements are:
-You can only participate if you've never had a character, you have characters with no battle record, or all of your characters are currently dead.
-To enter, you need to post your character's name and a design sheet in this topic and also submit them through the site (You must have an account and be logged in to make a character). If this isn't met, you aren't getting in!
IMPORTANT: if you do not recieve a confirmation email when signing up for an account, please contact me or one of the mods through email or discord chat, so we can get it fixed ASAP
- Entry through the site must have a design sheet, a bio, a 50x50 icon, and some proof or artistic skill. Sequential art (comics!) being preferred or most welcome. Links to your tumblr art blog or DA account are acceptable!
- You must also put your design sheet in the intro page categories. The site uploader does not accept entries with no intro pages, so make sure to include those in the submission!
- You have until June 19th to enter. After that, sign ups are closed and the tournament will start June 20th!
- Artists are given a one week deadline for each round to complete a comic. There are no set number of pages to submit, tho it is encouraged to make at least 3 pages.
- The winner of the tournament will be declared Void Invitational Champion 2016, and all characters who get into the tournament become permanent characters. It is recommended that you read the FAQ, User Guide, and check out the comics competition in action to get a feel for the site.

What's the one thing EnterVOID and WWE have in common?
No, not that we have an awesome wrestler who happens to be a werewolf that massacres everyone under the full moon. (I'm sure they have one of those regardless.)
Oh no, we have a--
"Wait, what's this all about?"
The Heavyweight Tournament, was the very first Tournament EnterVOID.com ever held, to determine the best of the best. Our last Heavyweight was in 2011, a whole 5 years ago!
“This title sounds like a pretty big thing.”
You bet your sweet candy ass it is! The Heavyweight Tournament is exciting because it functions as a tournament specifically for everyone to use any of their existing characters instead of creating new ones.The winner of the 2016 Heavyweight Tournament will earn the title of 2016 Heavyweight Tournament Champion. But that's not all, participants have the chance to claim the title of Heavyweight Champion from the last winner of Heavyweight, at any point year round!
"Wow I totally want to take the title! Can I join in on this?"
We do have a few requirements participants must meet. Hopeful Heavyweight Champions must:
· Have an account on the site for a minimum of 1 year
· Must have a minimum of 2 comics posted on the site
· Must have a good recent record (no recent defaults or severely incomplete comics)
That's literally all you need!
"That doesn't sound too bad. Where do I sign up?"
Sign ups start today as of April 16th and will close on May 8th, where the first round will begin May 9th ! There is a maximum slot count of 16 people, meaning only 16 participants will be entered.
"Oh I almost forgot! How long is each round?"
Aren't you smart to remember that! Each round will have a drawing period of 2 weeks with a voting time of 1 week, giving you enough time to prepare!

This is usually an important question I have for the community for a better understanding of when to host tournaments. I understand that every season has their pros and cons depending on people's schedules, but for future reference and better timing, I'd like to know what anyone in the community thinks.

Hey everyone! Here's the deal, Shen and I have been thinking of making an anime opening based on EnterVOID for months, but we can’t do this on our own. There’s too much to do for two people to make this happen, so I’m wondering, how many void peeps with some animation skills and knowledge are willing to help me and shen make this happen during the summer?
This project is mostly on the table for a few reasons: We can generate some hype and bring in new members, and of course, to have fun doing this as animators.
Nothing is solidly planned out yet, but I'm aiming to make a 1 minute video.

Regionals / Toronto Comic Arts Festival

spit spat, time to chat / Please help Shen

Some may have seen what's going on with Animeshen on her tumblr posts, but for anyone that isn't aware, here's what's going on: Shen was going to visit family this holiday, but unfortunately, the car she purchased from some prick passed it off as a well-working car, and it ends up breaking down on her on the way to Minnesota. She's stranded in some city, miles away from home, and the cost to fix the car can run her up to $2000! Not counting the amount she's spending on a hotel right now, things aren't going well for her at all.
So for this holiday, even if it's a small amount, can we donate some cash to her paypal? I know Shen would appreciate it a bunch!

We've all seen different places of the city in comics. Any in particular that catches your interest? Or maybe there are spots and places in Void no one else knows yet. Draw them here! Great way to practice backgrounds, landscapes and perspective for future battles.
