A few ideas for how the comics are displayed, thanks to there being SO MANY comics to read right now. Gathered from the Discord chat.

1. Any comics with less than 24 hours to be voted on are placed at the top of the list, to let people know it's their last chance to vote and comment on them. A few people like me have a habit of waiting till the last day, and might miss comics if they aren't obvious.

An addendum to that idea, what if those battles had an outline to help better draw attention to the fact? We already use color coding on a battle we've voted on, so perhaps a little extra attention to be drawn to a comic that you've not voted on and is on the final day would really help drive the idea home.

Hey, I'm not going to be able to support (ho ho ho!) this Support Group anymore. If anyone wants to run it, by all means go for it. You guys have been using it to full effect so I hope that you manage to come together and keep doing it. Position's open!

I won't be online in any major capacity next 1 - 3 days. Make sure to send your pages to me at RoflQu@gmail.com. If you DID send something and I didn't confirm it with you, then make sure to let me know on PM here or wherever, I don't wanna miss anyone.

Ahh, I hate to do this, but looking at my schedule in the next few weeks, I'm going to have no time for this. Knock me off the roster, sorry.

This is bad idea written all over it, but fuck I always wanted to fight you, Berto.

Hmm interesting.

That'd certainly incentivize me some.

Hey! I know I haven't been on here in a long-ass time, but would you mind if I joined in for round 2 of this support group?

Absolutely we want to see you doing stuff!

I'm gonna start this tomorrow. Just to remind everyone, the setup is a little different this time, it'll be 2 2 week periods. After this, we'll determine which one we like better.

60
Hey, we'll be starting round 2 of this soon, so if you want in, time to sign up!

61
Reminder that we have one month to go until the comics are due! Plenty of time to sign up still!

62
i hope this will be a complete regular event. i can join earliest at may but i think it might help me.

its a great idea so thanks for whoever got the idea and those who helped working on the concept.

As far as I can tell, this will be done every month for anyone who needs it.

63
With 10 days left until this current cycle of Support Group is ending, I just wanted to say we'll have sign ups ready for the next incarnation and we're going to try something different with the next one to better understand the most effective way we can do this.

Choleric suggested that we try 2 2-weekers and see how it feels, so we'll do that and then determine which one feels better. We can also either start the next Support Group immediately this one is put up OR wait a week for feedback and then put up the next Support Group. Whichever you guys feel is better.

Either way, signs up are open for the next one now, so if you wanted in, now's a great time to join up.

EDIT: It's also worth mentioning that Bobo's Pulpito is currently accepting submissions, so this would be a terrific opportunity to work towards something. You all should really do something for it and you've got a motivator to help you along if you need it.

I think he was being honest, the pastel does work for you. It's a nice look. I would maybe consider trying to use that, still. All those bottles look great and I really like that you took the time to make all them different colors and shapes, it's a good attention to detail.  If you're gonna start from scratch, make sure to take care to familiarize yourself with photoshop and hopefully you'll be better for it. I dunno a thing about GIMP.

I would maybe say panel 2 and 3 should be side-by side? They seem like they're the same shot just with a reaction difference, so maybe consider re-paneling them. It's not necessary but it may work better. I also was under the impression Crocostud was behind the bar? So, him standing up like that makes it seem like they were sitting, but do you have stools behind a bar? Aren't you already standing?  I can see in the standing panel that there is a curve on the table, but then the bottles seem out of place, since it makes little sense they would have them out for the customers to either steal or break.

I think your page here has a good set up, I would just maybe consider redrawing a few details. Perhaps show him opening up the door into the bar. A smooth and calm motion like that would provide a good counter point to him ripping the guys arm off.

This is all still a strong start, so just make sure you don't rush. These colors were a nice start but I'm sure you'll make something solid regardless the program you ultimately go with.

Would two weeks make it less intimidating?

EDIT: Ah, to hell with it. I'll just do a BB, this is taking too long.

That's fair. I suppose I wouldn't have really wanted Frank Macrae to be Annihilated.

Hi, welcome to the site.

I'm all about this guy's design. He looks like Hell's only lonely fire safety marshal. Could you tell us some stuff about him? His story and a description of him as a character can help inform and build on his design.

That weapon he has is kind of strange. A stick with a very small bayonet that barely pushes past the stick itself is strange. Does he have a rifle or is it supposed to be a make-shift polearm?

Also, in terms of anatomy, your arms are a little too long. I'm gonna hazard a guess and say you may want some help in terms of anatomy practice.  http://www.alexhays.com/loomis/ This is a good resource for starting to understand human composition.

Basically, I just wanna hear more about this guy. I'm really curious about him, cause this design is just very cool.

I could also potentially be down for an Annihilation Match.
Frazzler, you're looking at this, you want to go?

You can put up challenges for 2 person collabs.

I'm open to anyone interested. This includes other offers that I don't have on the side there, so if you're wanting to do something else, I might be down for that.

EDIT: That also potentially includes Annihilation or Death Match, if someone is interested in that.

So, we're uploaded now, it's only a matter of waiting for it to go up. In case you're dying to see it and can't wait for it to be uploaded proper, here's a link.

But, let's talk about the next holiday...
CINCO DE MAYO!!
It's Cinco de Mayo! You know, the celebration of the Mexicans victory over the French on May 5th, 1862, which had they not won, France would have surely joined the Confederacy and the history of the USA would have been radically altered? No? Anyone?

Pop on the sombreros and pound back the tequila. Dr. Fabulous is hosting the celebrations all across town, so get together and celebrate! As always, only one page of comic with your character(s) of choice participating in the fun is all that's needed, but as you can see from our past events, people have gone and done more, which is always welcome!

We're gonna have the due date a little earlier this time so that there's more time to get up. As such, this is due MAY 1ST!

SIGN UP HERE!!

SEE WHO SIGNED UP HERE!!

We had a great turn out, again! I hope to see even more terrific comics from everyone!

A Murderhorse, you say? I'm familiar with such things.

This looks good so far. I'm having some trouble figuring out the sketches, but I love the design. Keep this up.

74
Sorry, everyone. That was a hitch, we will be up tomorrow. I'm getting my pc fixed up. Nothing was lost, but we will have to wait.

75
And we're live! Thank you, Kevin!

Good luck to all my support groupers this month!
