Nihaha. ^_^\' I think I should\'ve given both of you slightly higher grades..... Actually, I think I voted the same overall score for both. ^_^\' The main thing was that I was on deviantart looking at some of the best artists I know of before coming here. I think that might have influenced my voting just a tad. I probably should\'ve come here before looking at good work...

Pretty cool for the first fight Slade. I\'m still working on my character now.

that was fucking awesome you two. I haven\'t come to grips with critiqueing any of this yet cause I was so taken the first few times I\'ve read it. Storywise, these were juggernauts and there was strong emotion in them
Slade I cant wait to see the story you\'re gonna come up with Gun Dream, as you really take advantage of the elements in void in your continuity. A ballsy move on your part, and should be commended
And Cirrus, I believe this has been one of your better entries and I\'m glad you\'re making a comeback after so long. I always make it a point to rematch people that has taken up on my continuity just to see what meeting Black a second time would do.

I enjoyed this quite a bit. Awesome fight from both sides.
Aeris: Cirrus was one of the first characters I saw and looked into on this site, so it makes me very happy to see her in action again. I love the way your inking comes out, and at the climax I definitely felt an emotional pang for Cirrus. Any critiques on the art are things you\'re probably already aware of, IE. the sketchy pages and what not. I liked it.
Slade: Maaaaan. I loved your fighting poses. They thrilled me. The grey toning worked quite well too, and the whole thing was very consistant. It was fun. As already mentioned by other people, there was an aweful lot of white in the bg, though I was very entertained by the fighting movements so I didn\'t really notice until my second read. I\'m interested in this BB you mentioned.
Back pats for both of you.

funny thing about that... you see i can up with that idea practially form the get go (no this is not arma related... that was anounced about a week into this battle)
anyhoo, the second part to this battel will be in my bb come november. should be up around the third.
WHAT it is.... a demon worm that devorers other demons. as in, cirrus is on the menu, and she knows it. \'shit\'... hehe.
till next...

Cirrus- Oh man, it\'s good overall. But man, the two sketchie pages, just kinda killed it for me. The Art is excellent, though...just the change is just too brutal for me! Storywise, it was ok and I dig how you draw Gundream so well!
Slade- Artwise, pretty good. Only complain is the \'emptyness\' in your bg and special effects. Yu could\'ve added some speedlines on different styles of toning, instead of leaving it blank.
Storywise- could\'ve fixed some of the spelling/dialogue error eg- Your istead of \'You\'re\' (I don\'t know why? but people these days, tend to use it on purpose to portray the same meaning.) and Then instead of \'than\', my vote still go you. I enjoyed the fighting, but wished I could\'ve seen more of Gundream in action!
Good work peeps! You gave it your best and I respect that!
Gee.

slade....i think it\'s obvious that all of your time went into this fight. i...actually....REALLY enjoyed it o___o love what you do with fighting poses....they blew me away! and the backgrounds were pretty good too (page 1, panel 1 was the BEST)
my only complaint was there was a lot of empty space in some panels. but my votes go to you for this fight!
aeris, your fight was okay. the art was good but the story didn\'t really draw me in at all. it was kinda weird to have all the pages inked except for two (?). but at least they were sketched out in a clear way so we could still see what was going on.

i tried to up load yesterday, but the site wasn\'t giving me the \'uploaded successfully\' messages... so i made double sure by sending the pages to wei. i only got ten of the original twenty fully finished. fortunately, the way i planned out the story, it ended up in two ten page segments anyway... so it\'s still \'complete\'.
can\'t wait for wei to be back from his holiday. (it was yesterday, if the american calandar is correct)
thanks for at least putting what you could in, aeris. i really appreciate it.
till next...

Well I uploaded what I could. I do apologize to Slade and the others. Even with the extension I just couldn\'t finish it completely Quite literally, I ran out of time. I was doing this up until the last minute, but I wasn\'t able to finish all the inking or even the dialouge.

I know how you feel. Im not in the best mood either. I just found out someone I used to be rather close to died a month ago, and noone bothered telling me. I just found out on my own last night.
Not to mention Im behind because stupid work cant give me the right information on these ads, making something that should have taken 1 day to do now is taking 3 -.-
Im going to finish, at worst, it wont be inked but I will get the art done.

fear not... even if i can get it -all- done, i have a stopping point before the true ending that i can use. then i just enter the rest as a bb...
though i\'m aiming for all. unfortunately my home is a little out of whack right now... works being a bitch as usual, so that was planned for... i\'ve got the attention span of a cat, but that was planned for too. school is a bit of a pain, though, again, not suprising... what caught me off guard was my aunt\'s mother (not a blood or in-law relation, but family none the less) died on thursday in a car accident. three others were in the car with her. two are fine, shaken, but fine... one is in the hostpital in critical condition... and then there was my aunt\'s mother (you know, i just realized, i\'ve know her a while, but i don\'t know her name... either i forgot since i don\'t use it much, or i never thought to ask... and now that i would like to know, asking would be the wrong thing to do right now. it would be a sever insult to injury...) she died instantly.
not to sound morbid or anything, but i\'m kinda glade that i wasn\'t super close to her or anything, cause just dealing with the other dealing with their pain is dredging up memories of my grandma\'s death five years ago... if she had been closer, i\'d be cancelling both battles and curling into a ball in the corner. as it is, it\'s hard not to cry about the situation as a whole right at the moment...
what does this mean for the battles? for the most part nothing. i\'ll still finish. fortunately i planned out this battle in two parts. if worse comes to worse, i\'ll enter the first half finished, and the finish the second half as i mentioned above... paige\'s battle will also be on time.
the only uncertainty right now is if i can turn in part two of this battle on time or not...
i\'m aiming for it, be sure of that.
and by the way... when the voting is under way... if i learn that a single one of you bumped up my score out of sympath, i\'ll find you and kick your ass. real scores. period. what did you think of my art? what did you think of my story telling? what did you think of the quality?
i don\'t want a repeat of aria vs alb. the admins know when that shit happends.
i\'m okay, just drawn thin emotionally a bit. i\'m one of the pillars of strength in my house hold. i make it, they make it.
you want to do something that\'s helpful? don\'t screw with the voting and instead pray for us, that we all would make it through with a new understanding of life, and a renewed hope for the future.
other then that, i will succed in what i set out to do. no defaults.
till next...

sadly, character design is the only skill i have absolute, unshakeable confidence in. it\'s the one thing i\'ve been practicing for over ten years.
... it\'s doing something with those characters that\'s the challange...
well, that and backgrounds... i really suck at them... T.T

I got a loooooong way to go before even thinking of making a fighter for VOID. @_@
Er, anyway... I had to give the higher points to Cirrus. I loved the laughing part.
GunDream, your art is pwnsome, but somehow I got bored with the story.
Heh, don\'t mind me. Y\'all rock somethin\' hard.
