TDK Just wanted to say I loved you side. I think you're battle was far more interesting and I love the way you depicted her musical spells. Also the little outfit changes and her transformation was hecka cute//

TDK: I feel that all this comic needed was a little beginning part with Kars talking about the Danger of the May Hens since without that establishment the tone of this felt a bit weird. Also If Kars was trying to protect her I feel like he should have tried to explain the danger of the birds instead of just saying they need to go, of course she could have easily ignored that which lead to the fight was done pretty well.

Cats: I really like the overall story for this, the way you set up the tourney and also how did you all the characters, both characters were really interesting in this. Also your inks are pretty awesome. Overall I really like this comic.

TDK- I feel this comic suffers from an identity crisis. You open with chickens and a battle over them, which made me think this was going to be a humor comic, but you play it so straight. To the point the action and dialogue compels the reader to take all this seriously. The thing is, when we do, the comic falls flat because you have so many ingredients that lend themselves to comedy. It really makes me wish you'd just run with it and embrace these ridiculous elements and pushed for a funny battle.

That said, story aside, your action sequences were my favorite. You got a great variety in  angles and showcased your opponents abilities in a neat way. Kars is always a cool guy to see in comics and I'm stoked to see him slinging his skeletal skills in this tourney.

CATS- Your comic leaves us with questions, which I am excite to find out more for. Who is she fighting for? What's at the top of that mountain? What's this freaky ability where she's nabbing powers??  It's a clever move to leave us with a hook that tempts us to see you in round 2. Your comic balanced serious and comedic moments well, and Kars demise had me snorting with how neatly his robes folded into place. It's great to see you in this tournament on your own for us to get a load of you solo. Keep it up!

TDK: The scenario was cute, but I didn't really feel the tension it seemed you were going for. I didn't understand either character's motivations in the scene, and it seemed like Kars was just standing there in the bushes while Cadenza went berserk on him. Then she's yelling for the chickens to run because she can't hold them back much longer, despite her having been on the offensive the entire time. And then the chickens stole her power? No idea what the deal is with these chickens.

Cats: You utilized both characters much better, and have a clear and straightforward goal for Cadenza. I really like the snappy and humorous banter in this comic. Overall, your side was a lot of fun.

Both very solid comics with some good action in them, great seeds for a bigger story to follow, and some highly appreciated punchlines! This was a very equal and well-matched matchup, it turns out. Sorry I don't have anything to say in specific! : (

TDK- lol what funny fat birds. I wish you had put a little more effort into drawing them since they were such a plot element. Your cadenza is very cute, I love her henshin! This was pretty entertaining and I liked the fight scene! the pixelation lines where you can see the use of the bucket tool though distracted me a bit (maybe monitor adjusted differently). Your inking is ind of in this place where its SORT OF rough and SORT OF clean an i feel like I'd like to see it pushed more one way or the other. Kars is still great though, I'm happy to see him!
Cats- Very classic story! I love your Kars- so friendly and then all of a sudden that scary eye when his glasses come off, great moment! Your inking is gorgeous, I love your style~ theres places where the background was a bit empty though. You could have implied more cave, or made the magic effects even BIGGER (page 4 im thinkin in specific). The very last panel cracked me up!

TDK: the little problem I have with Kars is that he's a dungeon masters and his minions are decorations. Most of the time they get easily trashed by Voiders lately, where it would be interesting to spam them or re-inforce them.

Cats: Quest-type story arc! a goody classic. I appreciates seeing more of Cadenza's powers

SING US A SONG, YOU'RE THE SKELLEY MAN! That's how Cadenza's powers work, right? She forces other people to sing? I'm pretty sure that's true. This is going to be an awesome battle!
