Thanks for the critiques! Given that I've been out of the game for awhile I really wasn't expecting much praise for the art, but knowing what I need to work on to improve is a big help and much appreciated, I'll work on my figure and gesture drawings!
I'm really glad to see the writing was a hit. I was worried I would either move the story along too quickly or leave things TOO vague. Admittedly, I did mean to actually refer to the High Speaker by name at one point but the original page that line was on got scrapped and I forgot to add in a new line. I'll refer to them by name in a future comic. I have big plans for the Drell'nari.
And @Jaykat of course! Iza's a really interesting character!

Glad to see you back in action and getting into the art game again ~
I really loved the writing, got a good chuckle here and there and I really dug the world setting of the planet poor Lawson got zapped to. As Shen said before, the paneling and about reads fine and is easy to follow along. I do have to agree that your bodies need a lot of polishing up. Anatomy/gesture drawings will definitely help you out there, and also practice your action of line so that your figures feel loose and flowing. The lineart itself looks good too, just try using a thinner brush for next time, and save the thick lines for things that are placed close to the viewer.
I would love to see more of Lawson in the near future, and I hope things work out better for you this time round.
Lastly, thanks for the Iza cameo! It was so sweet of you to add her ~

Its great to see you back with a fully finished comic! This was really charming, the writing in here had some great comedy gems and a really interesting and complex story is being set up! The art is a little rough in a lot of places but I know you've been out of the art game for a while. I think you use too thick of lines, especially in the backgrounds, try lowing the size of your brush. The bodies could use a little structural work, especially in the faces where its kind of hard to tell whats going on skull-wise. so maybe some practice anatomy sketches, figure drawings, gesture drawings. The pacing and panel layout is good and I like the shot variety. Welcome back! i hope you can get in a fight soon!

Comic is uploaded and ready to go! Wish I could say it was 100% up to par, but due do sickness and just poor time management on my part, there are a few things I'd like to go back in and tweak. Backgrounds being one of the key ones, that and the final page isn't shaded. If only I didn't have to work today, oh well.
Anyway, this comic is a short story I've been toying around with for some time about what Lawson's been up to since the Valentine's explosion, I hope you all like it!

Had to extend the deadline due to coming down with some sort of plague or ancient curse and losing a few days of productivity. I'm back at it though!

As for the alien world, I kinda wanted to see more? I was actually disappointed to see Lawson go back to void. That world and their neat cores were....well neat! More interstellar travel please! You colors and panel comps do need some more TLC and polish (dynamic angles- direction on shadows, etc), but all in all, pretty fun read. Welcome back!
