Amaloo: Man, I love your work, each new comic more then the last. Just keep it up, the best advice I can give you is to keep making comics and you will keep improving each time. Be careful to look out for hands being the wrong way around, ahaha.
This was a relatively brutal scar, and I'm glad you went for it. Lately I've felt time scar battle's have been getting as lame as Trophy Battles were before they were finally taken down. "My character is taking your character's hat, but it's ok, don't change the design sheet, you're character has more of the same hat at home." All Scar Battle now are pretty much a line added to the forehead or something. Whats the point?
Burstinghands: good first battle. Your art is pretty good, not much I can say really, except to make your outlines stronger, like black or a really dark grey, so they define the figure better. There are a few points in the comic where the line art is almost swallowed by the greys you added. I found page 4 really confusing. I have no idea what happened. Rereading it kind've looks like she hit him. But really it looks like her ran in front of her, scared her, saw he scared her, so he flung himself ass backwards into the bushes. And whats with the Japanese sound effects? Sure, they look kind of cool, but I'm betting most people on Void can't read them.
That was a weak scar. It wasn't even a scar, you cracked the mask. And the character has lots of masks, its like his whole gimmick, so he'd just change his mask and bye bye "scar". It feels like you didn't know the character or how Scar Battles work.

Amy I love your new character! Your comic had your usual rich and beautiful colors - I especially liked the grotesque facial effects later in the story. You make body horror bathed in cutesy and I'd like if you proceeded in that direction.
Nice comic, Burstinghands! I'd like to see either a bit more contrast in the shades *or* some solid outlines. I like your action poses, and your rendition of Boris as well. Again, Welcome to Void - I hope we'll see lots more comics from you.

amazingdavid: ooooh my god...that scar was tough...
are her thumbs being on the wrong hands part of the scar too or is that just bad drawing Amy?

Bursting: This is actually a great comic (what's the scar??) you have a great grasp on movement, I've never seen such good drawings of running. The story does fall into the traditional random battle in Void but I think everybody has done at least one of these stories. I would suggest finding ways to develop your characters story or personality beyond what you have here.

Well at the very least she can down play it in her own style in future comics, due to the nature of artistic license.
Still nice... wish I could add more but I am not in the critique mode... nor do I feel like i should seeing I don't even have my stuff up yet...
But yeah cool bones for first fight between new guys right off the bat.

Dear God, woman, is there no light in the world where you live? Is there no hope or peace? You break barriers I am afraid to cross. And while I can't see any sort of connection between Girl with the Pearl Earrings and your comic, it is somehow creepier because it's there and it has this mysterious quality to it. Fuck.
And Yui Lee has a strong first showing, I like your art though the scar is a bit weak especially since it's on the mask, which Boris changes constantly. I'll go into a deeper critique once I convince myself that life is worth living and I'm not gonna get syphilis.

Rajendra Ramkallawan: wow that scar is really harsh lol
Quote
Yeah, I was thinking that too. But then again, that's why it's important to know if you're really willing to have your character receive any type of scar when getting in a scar match... you can also agree on a scar with your opponent too. XD keep that in mind for the next one.
This scar is something interesting to have your character work with though. I'll give this a proper critique later.

It's fine, I know how it is making an extra effort trying to make sure your scar wins over (and in fear of what your character could be inflicted with)...

copying it from comic books are not really recommended, learn how to write and understand all the katakana alphabet first as basic before you can use the fancied version of em. the placement of the supposed sfx is also awkward as hell, or doesn't match what it's supposed to be.
other than that, cool drawings, albeit you need to work on expressions more.
amaloo, that's some awesome scar.
