Not a newbie, but I have a lot of experience in UX, and see issues everywhere. I can start by saying that it is hard to learn about the site. There's too much information being presented in too many different places. It's overwhelming. Just in this board, there's got to be like 15 stickies, and most of them are about how to use the site. Also, a lot of these rules posts are repetitive, which means there's a good chance that they contradict each other as well. Why are rules for the site on a forum, anyways? Usually you'd just put the forum rules on a forum, right?
The main menu is repetitive, which could be confusing. Manager and Profile? Which one do I use to edit settings? Also what's the difference between profile and summary? Members and View Member List? 2 different, separated settings for users? Which one do I edit?
It's hard to find things on the site as well. How do I easily search for or sort something specific? This Google search popup searches the entire site, and it's impossible to just find exactly what I want without some luck. I just wanted to find someone who is actively wanting to battle. I went to the character list, but they are all listed as active... but are they really? Some of them seem like they haven't been around in a while. So I don't know who is looking for a fight. I noticed there are open challenges, but when I try to accept one, it wants me to send out another challenge? I don't want to have 2 battles up at once.
Those are some big ones I thought of immediately.
