Hey Kid, I think we all have that problem with backgrounds but the main way to get around it is to use reference.  Look at a picture and take elements that make sense in that setting.  The real trick is knowing how much to put in.  Not enough looks plain but too much is distracting from the action.  Keep after it and you\'ll get it.  JV

kid i am ver impressed with the amount of growth that i have seen in you art. It really makes me feel bad that i put up so much half assed crap for alll my battles. I think i\'ll come back to give you a REAL MATCH later. Voodoo yours was hot too. the inks were hot man keeep that shit up. Im bout to just be like you an just ink the hell outa my fights. Oh yeah Voodoo im really feelin the color u put on abomino. just try to put that equal amount of effort on each character to give the peice a balance feel.

oh and one more thing to virulain, Funny you say it looked like i used MS paint \'cause truth is I actually did, lol, sorry i don\'t have anything else so i figured i\'ll just use what i got, as for the dialogue i see what you mean but really and seriously I only do it cause my hand writing SUCKS. And I\'m glad you mentioned my backgrounds because actually that\'s my biggest weakness. It\'s like i can never think of how to draw the background or what to put in the backgroud, but what it is, I have a detail problem. When it comes to serious detail in anything I can never think of anything to draw so i just stick with what i know, which for a senior in high school, isn\'t very much. But you gotta admit, for 2 weeks this comic is hot, like everybody else said, and i agree, this is one of my better comics but it just didn\'t meet the level of Voodoo\'s. Thanks For all the comments though, I REALLY, REALLY appreciate it and i can only get better...

Voodoo: Hot inking. Wish you\'d take out the pencil lines. I agree that I enjoyed this battle more than your one against P2--then again, I REALLY enjoyed that one. This battle made me realize how good your inking skills are--I still wish it were in color, though, \'cause your colors are live.

Scribbles: I thought the addition of digital effects was inappropriate here with your marker/pencilling--mostly because (sorry) the high-pixilation low-quality rendering of the digital part looked like you used MS Paint. Try using an antialias function to make your fonts fit in better OR just hand-write your dialogue. Your coloring is good looking, but take more time on your backgrounds and don\'t rush so much.

Scribbles, man this was definitly your best work.  Very entertaining comic.  

Voodoo, awesome job man!  Art is awesome and the story really funny.  I think I like this direction for Abomino better than the P2 fight.  This felt nicer.

Yeeeeeah Boiiiiiii!!    Awesome Kid.  Awesome!  I decided against color on this one since knowing that i was usin photoshop took away from how i inked on my p2 fight. Im still green to digital colorin. but Kid thats the best stuff ive seen you draw yet.  Jerry chooses his pupils well.
