I gotta say I was totally surprised at the results as well and this has definitelty been a pendulum battle.
Well it has been really fun and you are a good opponent Johnny. I'm glad you were able to submit a complete comic and there is no doubt in my mind that you are only going to get better.
I would love to have a re-match in the future and there will be MUCH destruction!

I can't believe any fight of mine has been this highly contested! I love it! It's like we never know what that little bar up there is gonna do! Right or left? Right or Left? Who knows? NOBODY!
Anyways, it's been really nice battling you Chunk, either way the tide turns, we HAVE to do a rematch. We've got something EPICO on our hands here, and next time we are BOTH gonna just rip the shit out of each other! We must!

Look at this...10 hours left and there is less than a 1% difference. For ANYONE who hasn't voted yet, I encourage you to do so. I don't want to lose by .1%
So close to possibly winning but if I'm going to lose I want to lose by a large margin...

Pah, don't listen to Yuyi. Stick to screen tones, you've got a natural hand to them as this comic shows. It's been proven that screentones can beat a color drawing a few times in the past, so don't let others encourage you to color. You take things at your own pace and things turn out fine. Colors are only when you feel fancy.
# 31
mr kick... try a bit of colors that will bring more competition in your art.. your art is good..just need colors
# 30
weird. the votes r fluctutating something shocking.

Whoa. I did put some effort into these pages. True they aren't the best but I'm still new at drawing comics. And yes, I did rush these pages abit and I can only try better on the next fight.

Kickmeister: Honestly, i have to agree a lil with the others that the quality is a bit lacking, but i'm also with whoever said that the story has a cinematic feel to it.
Bragg: Dunno what's good and what's not, BUT, i do have to say that "kisama" isn't asshole: it's "you" in a veru rough manner.
onnaree means "bastard" though.

Yah I really want a scanner. If I had one my battles would not take long at all to do. I draw all the comics in photoshop7 but I've been told Open Canvas is better. But Open canvas is damn hard to figure out.
# 23
Man, this IS going to be close...Well what happens happens I guess.
But yeah, Marley...you are right. I had not noticed until I read your post. I am definitely going to pay more attention to that in the future.
Johnny, you rock the tablet man, but a scanner is an invaluable asset...try to save up and invest in one.

well i like kicks entry, it was entertaining, but lacking as a fight and artwise. i bragg did a good job, art, story and fightwise. and hilarious ending too
# 21
tablet rocks Johnny! Whatchu use to draw in? Maybe smoothing out or sharpening lines.
# 20
I've said it before, If I could use pencil and paper I would but I have no scanner and no money to buy one. Tablet is all I got and it's the only way I can compete in Void right. All I can do is try to get better with the tablet.
# 19
yeah both of you guys rushed this a bit.... chunk I think you caught the "grr" face disease... like you need to add in some more "o" to your faces hehehe... no but... a variety of expressions while kicking the crap out of someone would be better. You would get a better feel for the character. Not just "GRRRRRRR teeth clench ill own your ass graaa"
Johnny you need to clean up your lines BADLY... stop drawing with the tablet, and try using the old pencil and paper. It may not be as convenient, but it would deffinently help you clean up your work.
good job guys keep rawkin

Hmm... this battle gets closer and closer to being at 50% each, I wouldn't be suprized if this battle was decided by a few points!
# 15
Hahaha good one chunky. Pretty nifty art there. My fav is the knee-in-the-stumach, "you gotta love it". The colourings great man, keep it up.
Johnny: cool, I like the sketchiness. You need more background though.

Hmmm... for once this is a hard choice for me. Better start.
J. Blaque: Well, the art does indeed look a tad rushed, perhapes a traditional approach to your comics would be better seeing as how the sketchy look does have it's dissadvantages. The story however is a breath of fresh air for me! You've given us a different side to your character, and it's a rather impressive one I might add. You've also got chunk's Bragg down as well which is very impressive. A defenet improvement though man!
Chunkplex: Well the art in this half is indeed better, but it does seem a tad pixely to me (no biggie though) the story however (except the last part) didn't compell me as much as Kick's fight. But other than that I did like how you pieced this one together.
I'm impressed by both works! This is a tough one for me... by adding up my vote scores... my vote will barely go to Kick on this fight! Keep it up or something?

Sorry, I wasn't really offended. That was just my inner anime-dorkus compelling me to speak up about it. o.o;;
# 12
Yeah...I'm glad you like it Johnny, honestly I kind of rushed this one myself and I am sort of disappointed with my results...Also Zato...sorry if I offended you with me not knowing any Japanese at all...I checked 2 internet sources and they said the same thing. Nobody else would have noticed...why'd you have to say anything ...NEVER AGAIN!
And Johnny...I can safely say that this IS your best yet and your potential is still great. You portrayed Bragg perfectly.

Daaaaamn Chunk! Your style is just a-changing! I agree with the others that you have been improvong leaps and bounds. I really liked the Camera POV shots and and ending...that ending. lmao

Mr. Kick : Well this certainly gets you off the default train, but I'ma dock you down on quality for (what looks like) a rush job. BUT, the script and direction had me totally enthralled. I loved the cinematic feel, especially the sequential action like the first few panels on page three. I felt I could really connect to the characters, and that's always a big plus in my book. Thus, the points go to you. ^_^
Bragg : While the quality certainly gives this fight a powerful right hook (except maybe Mr. Kick's MISSING PUPILS !?!?), the script didn't capture me the way Mr. Kick's did. In fact, I didn't very much care for the characters or the fight at all and was just "meh" about everything. I did like the Mr. Kick iPod-esque montage in the first page though.
And it also helps to brush up your Japanese before you start mixing it in with English O_O;. "Kisama" actually translates more roughly to "Damn you!", but the application of the word in the quote was just...horrible.
"Let go of me you kisama !" ...*shakes head*

not bad either chunky. the action had some nice flow to it

Chunk:man you are leapin and boundin....you continue to impress me with how much you are improving with every battle
Blaque: I dunno...I think maybe you are overextending yourself...your matches seem to be rushed....I can see the talent and potential for quality stuff and you ain't giving it

I have nothing against you wanting a extension, I might buy myself to polish my fight up abit more.
# 4
I think I might need an extension so I'ma go ahead and ask for one just incase.
