Radji: I can see you're getting more comfortable with using textures compared to your previous comics and it's looking better.  My wish for you would be to see you push your backgrounds and perspectives a bit more.  The sound effects are nice in a way.  But I find their digital look to be rather offputting against your art.  You didn't exactly choose the best colors for them which forced you to use shadows to make them pop which only makes it more jarring against your art.  I'd look into using complementary colors rather than making so many of them black and red and grey.  It's weird too because some of them seem hand drawn and some aren't.  Personally I find the juxtaposition of the grim violence and humor to be offputting but I guess that's a more personal opinion and humor differs from person to person.  I find the ending a bit anticlimactic and Remy's motives to be too vague.  One more thing to be aware of, be careful when placing text inside the word balloons.  You tend to stick too close to the edges.  It's better on the eyes when it's there is some space against the edge and the text is centered especially digitally.

Kozispoon: I can see you're also using texture like Radji.  I'm not sure if that was a thing before but it's funny looking at it now and realizing you and Radji use similar techniques.  I really enjoyed your interpretation of Kurt since it's what I like about Void in general, the different ways we as artists interpret our opponents.  You've got some great panel work and density though I think we could certainly use some space to breathe in.  I'd like to see more background work from you.  You've definitely done the work here but the perspective looks a bit fudged.  The meta commentary works wonders for me.  Keeping Remy out of the limelight was definitely an interesting choice as it adds to his mystique and fearsomeness.  But I'm also unclear as to why he's antagonizing Kurt.  I feel like both comics have this issue.  Also that ending was far darker than expected.  Anyways this was a great comic looking and written comic.  Kudos.

Radji - looks like Kurt's got a new friend, even if he comes off as a bit annoying to him.

Kozi - Well, if letting an innocent girl burn to death didn't show us how much of a monster Remy is, then murdering cats will.

I love the way you interpreted Kurt's appearance to fit in a more realistic, detailed style. He's really gross and ugly haha. Just... give me more, please!

@Radji: I don't think "you done goofed" means what you think it means haha. Other than that and some other grammatical issues with your English, the dialogue was just great. I love Remy's nonchalant attitude and how he just keeps egging Kurt on. I think something I'd like to see from you is a more limited color palette. Your current colors aren't bad by any means, but they're kind of all over the place, and I think being a bit more restrictive with the range of colors you use might look nice. Otherwise, just a solid comic and I look forward to whatever comes next!

@kozi: Holy shit dude that ending ;A; Really makes me hate Remy. Pyras was right about all of the shipping and stuff fooling us into forgetting how evil he really is. I absolutely love just how dark this got and it makes me want--nay, NEED--to see more from Remy--SOON! It's hard to critique this comic because it's just so professional-looking and so well written. I love the way you interpreted Kurt's appearance to fit in a more realistic, detailed style. He's really gross and ugly haha. Just... give me more, please!

Radji: your art is goddam phenomenal, every comic you really bring it with your great gestures and expressions, your backgrounds and inking. I loved how Remy's attacks skidded off Kurt's metal skin and how essentially he was just letting Kurt beat up himself. But the ending was kind of a let down. It seems like a lot of your comics end with an "if you cant beat em join em" deal, which is like, okay, sometimes you win a fight, and sometimes you win a friend, but you never seem to LOSE. and this kinda goes for all your characters though its not AS bad with Kurt because we've seen some of his weaknesses but i'd really like to see more comics of him trying something and FAILING and having to deal with the consequences. thats where the interesting character dramas are.

Kozi: Remy is so mysterious! hes been in 2 actual fights, and both were 3-pagers where he barely appeared, leaving his opponents to deal with the destructive force of having crossed paths with him. I think its a bit funny that it takes animal murder for folks to be like "YOURE A FUCKING MONSTER" about a character XD But you've been setting him up really well as this terrible shadow with no regard for anything, passing through people's lives and making them all worse, daring everyone to be the one that stops him. Next battle, i hope hes actually in it! I cant fault your art that much its always so gorgeous but if i had to nitpick, the backgrounds on the last page feel a bit empty and the street light turns invisible on the third panel as the panel gutter seems to cut through it. LOVE your pink highlights!!

two men who are both fairly sadistic going at it is really exciting.

Radji- the art as always is sooo much fun, but I dont feel I got or learned much about kurt in this comic, and I guess in the end the only thing about kurts character is he made a friend, not that, that is a problem but I dont see the justification and I dont see how it will play into kurt in the future I dont feel like I leaned anything about him as a person or he gained anything besides a drinking buddy for a night. Which again isnt bad but Id love to see things affect Kurt that he has to deal with.

Kozi- Kurts nose held me at knife point this entire comic I feel like I was being threatened to read more the entire time. all joking aside this comic was soooo juicy with character, it dripped atmosphere for me and it is spine chilling how fucked up Remy can be. I am not sure if by the end if I feel bad for Kurt and I am not sure I am supposed to, I mostly just feel bad for that cat, but great job making this comic so threatening.

@KOZI - you are evil and i love it? I really enjoyed how you drew kurt, because i've only really seen him in radji's style, but you ended up making the whole thing so... gritty. very fun! poor snow though... I ALSO really enjoy that remy didn't actually show up in this comic at all. Dot's gun bit was amusing too.

Its neat to see your thumbnails like this too, because you desaturate everything as the comic progresses, not just because its outside, but it works so well for the mood. Its like the comic was snow and you drained it too. how dare!?! (no but really, wonderful color work!)

@Radji - OMG THE EXPRESSIONS IN THIS. I love them all. The way you smoosh faces around is enviable. Its possible I just don't understand something contextually, but I don't really get why they go drinking at the end. Even though they have something in common and can't hurt each other, Remy just messed with the Old Docks gang? It left me with a bit of confusion. Your sound effects were also really fun in this. They all had a fun texture that worked with what they were portraying, and its going in my "to learn" notebook.

Wonderful fight, both of you!

Radji:
Yooo. Your stuff is looking so good. Artwise, your stuff was stellar. I like your color palette and your use of solid blacks. But I feel the writing in this case didn't fully catch up with the rest.  Some of the pacing was a bit cramped, and the the humerous tone nad abrupt end didn't really gel with the rest.

Kozi. Welp. Way to go establishing Remy as top tier evil. The ending was entirely out of left field for me in a way that really delighted me. You set it up well, and the set it up so well, and you hardly even showed Remy!

Your art is as good as always, I don't feel qualified to nitpic.

Can't really give a satisfactory critique of these two, so let me just say both of these comics are masterful level works for three pages! Maybe I'm just a sucker for really dense action and plotting, but I loved them. They also both have a really fitting and cohesive color palette for their respective tones. Just a really really really good battle, man.

These comics were everything I wanted in three pages.

Radji - Your action sequence is fucking awesome. The realization of Remy's powers and how they are only slightly effecting Kurt is really sweet. I also feel like your colors are vastly improving. My only critique is that moment when the two grunts compare Kurt to Remy. It's a lovely dose of humor, but I think it wasn't exactly necessary. You could have left it at Remy in chains talking his out of being tied up and the closing panel being them awkwardly drinking at a bar together.

Kozi - Your story has a great twist considering we don't see Remy at all. It's a total thriller watching Kurt hunting him down, clue by clue and ending it on such a brutal fucking note. The color pallet you chose adds an eerie feel to the comic too. I feel like the last page, while tying up the comic nicely with that element of demented horror is rad, some of the panels still feel a little empty. I can't really place my finger on it, but I felt, compared to your other two pages, this one had less background detail?

You two fucking ripped and are really inspiring! Good shit, both of ya'll!

. The ending is so dark I got kinda taken aback, I did not understand Remy to be that evil, this is what happens when villains pal up with everybody in noncanon pages on the art chat!

3 page challenge aw yeah

Radji: Some of my excitement for this waned when I realized you're rehashing stuff we've seen already in fan art of days past, and I feel like this is the 2nd or 3rd comic in recent memory that ends with the two characters settling their differences over a pint. I would like to see some new ways these conflicts get settled

Kozi: I like how you used the color to draw the eye through the story. The ending is so dark I got kinda taken aback, I did not understand Remy to be that evil, this is what happens when villains pal up with everybody in noncanon pages on the art chat!
