@ Kizauto You know how to make me laugh, where have you been all my life? everyone's talking about backgrounds. I see what they mean.
@ TheManWhoPlantedSwag everythings kind of hard to see, is that a gradient? besides that I really love your compositions, and that cute pose for Kizu at the beginning is hilarious and very him.
@ Dumorte I can't remember if I read your round 2 entry but this is leaps and bounds ahead of round 1. I'm impressed and amused.
all of these are awesome.

@Kizauto That was a real laugh, good job! For now, the only thing I'd focus on are backgrounds. I'm all about cuttin corners to get work out there, but backgrounds would really help unify your panels and really upgrade your whole deal!
@TheManWhoPlantedSwag Pretty sick man! Nice goofy poses and flexes! Watch your action scenes though, especially in a wrestling-heavy comic. Don't be afraid to pull out a bit more to show as much of the figure as possible and make it 100% clear whats happening. I feel like ya kept it close and tight so you could avoid backgrounds, which, is an issue for another day. But just keep at it man!
@Dumorte Oh man, what a good-weird aesthetic you've got goin on. You definitely use reference to your advantage to sell characters and work around complex things like parkour. Maybe look into using that same level of reference for backgrounds and scenery, since those read like a bit of an afterthought. Otherwise it becomes a bit jarring to believe the characters exist in the same space.

@Kiz I dont have a tablet or any of that stuff either. Just a pencil, paper, some pens and a scanner. Like Pyras said, I used GIMP which is free and pretty easy to learn. The basic stuff anyway. Anything fancy I just google for instructional videos lol.
@Pyras Yeah man. I checked my comic so many times... also had a friend look at it and still wasnt caught lol.
It's crazy when you can visualize all these cool things but your art skill is like "lol nope." With time and diligence, IT WILL HAPPEN!!!
You know, I was very skeptical at first doing that one vertical speech bubble... but then I thought to myself, "you know what, I dont think I ever seen a vertical speech bubble, this should be unique!" Little did I know there was a reason for vertical bubbles not existing LOL.

another round another 3-for-all, good on all of yall to deliver what you could
Kizuato: Forgive my ignorance, am I correct in assuming you don't have any digital programs to work on your traditional pages? You don't need money, Dumorte here is using a free program (GIMP), and the artist sootball uses FireAlpaca. Don't get discouraged thinking this is the best you're capable of, you just need to broaden your horizons and learn new tools. Never stop learning!
Swag: I have deep respect for people who go the extra mile to make sure they submit their work, so gold star for that. What you could have had here is alot of fun and I bet it would have looked terrific. The bigger weakness for me than the incompletion funny enough is the premise; It just feels a little expected, the 3-way wrestling match, it's not that it wasn't fun, I guess I just wanted to see a fresher twist on it
Dumorte: Sucks about your pink mistake! Always double/triple check your pages when you're finished, that's pretty much the only solution. This is one of the stronger abrupt endings I've seen in a while. You have a clear and appealing vision and it's only a matter of time that your art will start catching up to your mind's eye. Keep on drawing, practicing, and improving! I'm not the biggest fan of Tod's pop culture references but I know that's part of the character. On Page 4, I would avoid doing vertical word balloons like that again, they're unpleasing to the eye and no one really ever does that professionally, you only ever see that in sloppily translated manga
Keep it up you guys I wanna see all three of you producing more after this round regardless of the outcome!

@Kizuato real talk, I had a little panic attack when I saw your cover page. I was like "OH FUCK, did he do the same thing I did!" lol. but for realzy, your comic was fricken hilarious! I have read it like three times already.
@Dumorte love your style, the harsh black and whites and selective colors looks really good. I would say that the pink background on the 6th page is a bit out of place. but all in all great job!
this was such a fun match-up, and its cool that we all went in a different direction for it
