Wow, just wow! Being super new to void, it was really a treat to read and see the Heavyweight Tournament unfold and lead up to this match! I didn't know much about the history between these two characters, but went back and read as much as I could to catch up, and man, this is really inspiring! You both have such amazing storytelling and artistic styles!

This is the match up we've been waiting for! I know i went on like a broken record about this battle in the discord chat, but I gotta get my thoughts posted here- for posterity!
HATS- Despite this being unfinished, I was really excited by this battle. You do such a great job of making your comics bigger than just Wizzie. she has a world she's influenced and participates in, and a squad with a wacka-doo leader whose no longer in this dimension. You give rise to so much opportunity for more than just a one shot comic which I really enjoy. As for Wizz and Mammon, there is an obvious, intimate, if not sexual tension between these two, that makes their interaction something I scoot to the edge of my seat for. Even if the premise of their meeting is for him to get gangsta cred by killing her. Its a shame you didn't get to the meaty plot pages with your inks, but your pencils are shockingly neat. Like, I understand what I'm seeing and your quality is on point. My own sketch layers are total chicken scratch, so I doff my hat to your visual legibility. The trek down Wizzie's meandering path through void until now, was a great thing to see. The cliffhangaer you leave us on though kills me. What happens? Does it all go boom? Is the bomb a dud? Will we ever know??
MAGS- For someone who came in all apologetic about the quality of their work and how it wasn't your best has me shaking in my boots. If this isn't your 'best', there's no hope for the rest of us. Pack it up, fellas, Mags is the new Queen of Void. You had such a realized story and kept faithful to it throughout your battles. That's no easy task, especially when you don't know who you're going to be up against next. The fact that Mammon ends this all with Wizzie is the total cherry on top of how well this story could've wrapped up. The two of them have such a notorious history, its such a treat to see them together again influencing each others storylines. You gave us all what we were all thinking- that flashback scene on page 5 when they lay eyes on one another. You da bes <3
While I'm all about black and white comics, I am super digging this simplistic color scheme you've had going. The choices you've made from a color theory perspective really enhance the feel I think you're trying to portray from page to page. From the light yellow exchange with Wizzie and her squad to the rosy warmth of Mammon jumping into the ring is great. I'd say my only complaint such wonderfully rendered panels make your scrawled sound effects stick out like a sore thumb.
Still tho- stellar end to such a radical heavyweight. Good show!

the OTP~ so angry lol.
Hats: "what is Slaw's deal with space rocks and bombs?" lol right? if one were to summarize Murphys Law XD Im sad you couldnt finish this cuz I know where it was going and it was gonna be THE BOMB (*is booed*) but I understand life gets in the way and this was a very long tournament. What you had is good, theres good banter and I like the set-up, and theres really good use of black and white in the inked pages. I think you should be proud you got this far! Congrats! Now I hope this meeting doesnt mess up any plans you and Mags had for their reunion lol!
Mags: ooooh I love the colours, all the lovely golds and purples and that bright blue! For being so burned out I still commend you, this looks good! I think the biggest issue i have is i feel like we missed out on the effects of the moonstones- you been buildin em up for 3 comics and then when we finally get to see what they do- an on the Danger Rangers no less, thats rad as fuck- but we dont really get to SEE it, it cuts away. "Ray, put down that gramma!" I would have liked to see Miller rescuing a gramma from Raygun lol! I mean I get that the focus is on Wizzie and mammon but I feel like i missed out on another really cool scene haha. Also and this is a very stupid nitpick but on page 6 panel 1 that ring is HUGE. like, city park huge lol. OTHER THAN THAT I think this whole tourney has been a GREAT narrative for Mammon, i LOVED seeing his tears of joy on the last page, it feels like hes grown a lot!
Great job you guys! cant wait to see what comes next for these two! (hint at Mags: me, im whats next, get ready to die)

aaa you guys did great for what you could squeeze out, rest and be happy
Hats: I liked where this was going and it was really great to see this growth from Wizzie, and coming out of her own mouth! The only minor tick i have with this comic narratively is that it doesn't seem to be at all connected with the previous three battles, it's not exactly an aftermath and there's no segway into this new situation, I would have loved to see that opportunity to connect it used (like some emphasis that Wizzie's absence led to Mammon's plan getting as far as it did, just one idea). I'm really happy that you took the time to photograph the last pages, many members in your same scenario would have probably just given up but this really shows your dedication to your craft, even to something with no real-life stakes like Void
Magistelle: Aaa the last page with mammon crying is my favorite, next to Angus' words it says so much about Mammon it's one of the best narrative elements I've seen from you! I think you know the biggest criticism to come with this comic is so little background work and believe me I know the struggle all too well! I'm gonna chalk up many of the lacking panels to you not having the time as you said. I have a few questions: Is the whole point of Mammon being in the tournament to have the Danger Rangers go crazy in a big event? Doesn't that mean Wizzie would have originally been afflicted by the moonstones as well? Or was he banking on Wizzie still being in Sunset City? Was there some other reason Mammon needed to participate in the event or he just wanted to show off and was killing two birds with one stone?
Great job again you two, congrats on your victories and making it this far

Also a head's up; I got gut-stabbed with a combination of life kicking me in the head alongside a large wave of several-months-worth of burn-out finally catching onto me. The quality of my comic will be poorer than my previous works as a result, unfortunately, though I'm also stating this as just something to keep in mind rather than as an excuse as well. Pls have mercy on both Hats and I, we are tired souls x<x;;
With that said though, this tournament has been an utter blast to be a part of! Thanks for all the kind words of encouragement and critique throughout the course of this shindig! I may not have said a lot in the comments, but I read and appreciated each one. :") I can honestly say that through the work I've done for it, I've learned a new thing or 2 because of it!

I'm going to say this now as a heads up - my entry is unfinished, in both regards to art and story. and I am really, really, sorry for any disappointment I cause anyone.
Magistelle and a few others already know this, but I crashed and burnt out about half way through the deadline, it was a mixture fatigue and stress and a lot going on irl (such as a job interview). It's not an excuse, I know, but it's my reasons. I was already planning on taking a hiatus on battling for the rest of the year after this Heavy Weight because of a big project I have coming up soon, but I'll still be knocking around.
I'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone that's commented and critiqued on my previous rounds and I apologise for not getting back to them - I learnt a lot during the Heavy Weight and believe me I expected to get knocked out in the first round let alone get this far to the finals. So I'd like to thank all you voiders for the support,
you're a great bunch.
EDIT: oh and I forgot to mention. For life to kick me in the teeth for a final time - the scanner decided to stop working (because it's attached to the printer and if it's ran out of ink like it just won't let me scan??) so the last 3 pages I had to take photos of because the shop closed 3 minutes after this happened.

Thank you and welcome to Void! I forgot to link this as a "suggested further reading" - their baggage between each other goes a long way back. http://entervoid.com/index.php?action=comic;id=4325
But cheers dude!
