MAGISTELLE- Gumshoe has evolved to super mega nightmare-gumshoe! Hot damn, that is something that's gonna make me sleep with the nightlight on tonight. Per usual, your creamy smooth colors utterly shine. Speaking of shine, I particulary enjoyed the focus on Flower Powers eyes as it zeroed in on her sorrow despite her roboty protocol. Great action panels here as well, especially during Gumshoe's spooky reveal.
FLUTTERBYES- I'm still utterly shocked how much garden variety opponents you've managed to contend with to fit in with Flower Powers theme. Unexpected fit even! You took a unassuming plot point in Gunshoe's past round and turned into such a great punchline. Teeny baby Dales. Dale WILL prevail! I was uncertain about this comic starting out, but the build up of the stakes for that big reveal was worth it.

I just continue to love how you're so dynamic with a very limited palette!
(Do you do streams? I wanna see you do it!)
And those last few panels are incredible. And everyone wears suits well, even as "Don't Feed The Plants" plays in the distance.

Oho I see what you two did. Especially you, Flutterbyes. Pud's brethren continue to plague Flower Power's life even while he's dead. Also cool seeing the continuation from past rounds, both from your own storyline and from Gumshoe's. I'll echo the background sentiment, but I like that curved perspective in the third panel on the first page.
For Magistelle's, I feel like we're missing part of the story here, but with the page limit it's not a big deal. Especially since I think seeing Gumshoe finally open his eyes like that and struggle with an enemy was a good payoff for him, along with how his attitude is changing. Is he the hero Void deserves?

Mags- I think definitely not as strong as previous rounds, however you gave a really strong conclusion to this battle, as well as really escalating the pressure on Gumshoe. I definitely feel Fern's comment on the backgrounds, though I feel you did an ok job at making the colours more interesting to look at than just blank space. Even though it's so short it still felt thrilling, which is really impressive imo, I want to see where it goes, I want to see where the buildup is leading really bad haha
Flutter- Even considering the dimensional rifts from last week's comic, I can't help thinking the backgrounds are so sparse because of your solid colours, the shading isn't doing enough for me in terms of breaking it up. I had a lot of confusion on page 3 because it took me one or two reads to understand what was happening with Gumshoe in panel 3 (I originally thought FP was trying to help him stand, then found she was leaning him against the wall). The ending was super touching, but for me, also kind of inconclusive! I might have different priorities, but imo it's better to show than let us assume that the death occurred.

Mags- Gumshoe is turning into one gnarly dude, I really like watching him progress and change form, emotionally and physically. Gumshoes's inner dialogue is what kept me reading throughout this one, good work!
Flutter byes - At first I was thinking "Look at these silly little devils running amok. This is gonna be cute." but then all that was trumped by Gumshoe fighting to keep Dales PD ID. Then there was little Dales, tearing shit up. I loved that too much. DALE WILL PREVAIL!

Oh my, I quite enjoyed these two.
Gumshoe is getting still more messed up and I love it, I'm crazy curious as to where he's going next.
Flutterbyes, I think this is your best one yet. it looks good and it's hecka fun; Love them little devils.

It is uploaded and I am ready to face my fate. Also, I may or may not draw more pictures of Gumshoe soon because, while I was at first intimidated by the prospect of this battle, I soon remembered that I love men's suits and monsters.

I just want to take a moment to thank everyone on my way out. Going into this, I had my narcissistic visions of grandeur, yes, but I seriously didn't think I'd get more than two rounds in. It was a great way to dip into the ways of Void, and it was just the right kind of competitive pressure I needed to try new techniques out in a real way and do things I didn't even know I was capable of. I don't know if I'm the sort for regular battles and long term characters, and comics over 4 or 5 pages still feel way over my head, but it'll be interesting to see if Void has other places to take me.
