kura: Composition of comics always a great thing in your work. Regardling last night when I was talking to you about how your stories didn't pack as much of a punch from before, I think I got my thoughts sorted out. I might have overracted, but it's mostly just your last two comics I felt didn't have the same punch like your old ones. You usually have a great way of creating some sort of suspense with your comics that build up to a nice big climax and a 'punch line' that breaks the end of the comic with a conclusion. Usually the punch lines you make are humorous, but I feel it only ever worked when the climax was high enough. Bullet Princess is kind of tricky because she's very serious, and Satin doesn't always work by herself because it's usually Lilyfeather that deals the final punchline. In this story, Meridia turned on the light with her card and freaked out and the story suddenly shifted back to a lower mood. I think the climax could have been higher to make the comedy in the ending stronger. This is all my opinion and ranting though. you can ignore it if it doesn't make sense.

tdk: I really thought this story was entertaining! Satin was enjoyably cynical in this story, I hope to see more of her like this in other comics. All I can think of right now is for you to maybe mess around with line width and blacking out huge areas (like we mentioned Mike Mignola last night). Whatever you're doing right now, you're on the right path. Sorry I can't think of much to say.

I literally have no excuse other than "I couldn't think of a story" before day 6 of the deadline.

MAJIKURA- Short and sweet comic with a gooey nougat center of payoff. I dig! Granted you only had a week, so I get that your pages are looking kinda sparse, but that extra TLC you gave panel one on page 5 is super great. I really wish the whole comic looked like that. Though, I see what you were trying to accomplish on panel 2 of the same page with Merida losing her bananas in the face of Satin doom, but the trembling doesn't come off so trembly and seems more rough and messy. You put such great detail int oyour own character and the rest of the cast I wish that level of detail translated to your backgrounds as well. You had a great start with page one, but it seemed to have petered out. I would've loved to have seen some personality to that sewer with some graffiti, ruins or what have you. Speaking of panel one, that full body feature of your opponent checking out their phone was some great page layout. Supah dig!

TDK- You're usually so on the ball with your own unique brand of side splitting humor, I am shocked, SHOCKED to find you just bogarted someone elses. By the time I got to that great panel where Meridia is looking into the parrot cage on page 1 I knew where this was going and tuned out. I'm all about nods to thins in popular culture, but this was a word for word retelling with a void cast. I has a sad :<

tdk i gotta be honest i kinda stopped reading this and skimmed the rest around page 2 when i realized it was pretty much a word for word Monty Python sketch. but i did like Lily necromancing the dead parrot at the end lol.

kura: oh my GOSH ohmygoshohmygoshohmyGOSH THEY ARE HOLDING HAAAAANDS oh my god you are killing me dude XD holy hell this comic was ADORABLE. that last page slays me! Majikura: Hey great for a week! You've got shadows, lots of line variation, the works! Congrats, I didn't even notice Lilyfeather is hidden in Page 4 the first time I saw it! Page 6 is the weakest one line-wise, and it especially shows since the other pages have so much more polish on them. For the last page, I got confused and thought it was a continuation, that "bonus page" sign didn't catch my eye clearly enough. It could've also worked just as well as an "EARLIER...." panel, since the gag is Satin KNEW where the exit was and was keeping them lost for quality hand-holding time.

TDK: eeeeehhh... this is a carbon copy of the monty python dead parrot sketch, and replacing the guys with the girls doesn't make it any funnier or is enough of a twist on it to warrant taking the whole bit. I wouldn't recommend doing something like this again for a future battle, and if you got these ideas just draw them out for the forums or tumblr or devart or whatever.
