Tony Danza Krimbobalous: Nice comic! I think you need to spend some time on your line-work, this comic feels like a slight step-back from our fight which I thought had very strong posing and movement behind them. Your inks as usual are your main selling point, but you really need to spend some more time developing your line-widths, because they felt weak here. You almost do it, but it seems like you only do it in some spots and then don't commit all the way to it. Such as page 5. Serena Sizal in the lower left has some darker lines around her face, but not around her entire form and as such it looks off compared to the rest of the image and just kind of blends in with the background.
I thought your story was good. I wasn't TOO interested in how Frank instantly gave out and turned wormy and would have liked seeing a bit more of his character participating and interacting. Besides that, I think you did a good job here and I would definitely like to see some more of you in this tournament.
Frazzler: Good to finally see the main man come out. I gotta say, your lines are fantastic and look really good. Super cool story set up, too. Hellawman Frank Macrae sounds amazing and I'm really intrigued by your setup here. It's a shame it's unfinished and with quality drop, but I can only imagine how much time you're spending on each panel. I would really love to see this worked on in the next round or see this particular comic finished up, especially because you're so close to completion on it.
Beyond the shame you didn't finish aspect, I really can't say too much for your art itself. You're not leaving me really wanting for backgrounds since your work really carries itself, but I suppose some shading and differentiation on the objects would have really helped carry your art farther. I have high hopes you'll exceed yourself if you move on in the coming round!

TDK, what did you do to my Lily!! XD XD oh my god my poor baby LOL! why can Frank grow veiny, spiky tentacles from his back and why would Lily think that was harmless?? Lily you are a magical girl you know to avoid tentacles! XD oh my god lol well thanks for the cameo i GUESS! anyhow, agreeing that your backgrounds are a bit sparse but you keep a consistent quality all the way through, theres good action and your story amuses me, clearly haha! given how little you had to go on I think you did great!
Frazzler, I wish I could see some finished art from you! Theres a lot of this thats awesome, like when Aurelia is calling her armor down and theres all these awesome demons and theres just so much cool stuff happening but its so inconsistent and the story drops off so we dont even know what happens! so good start i guess lol but i hope your next comic is more complete!

tdk: yeah could have used backgrounds, but i like the idea of the monster to explain frank's size. the only page that was weird to me was page two, the first frame is readable but it probably would have worked better as two panels.
frazzler: i'm liking what you have on the panels you were really able to spend time with, the last two pages look great! but- in the last panel, should we be reading aurelia's line before frank's? that was the only real pacing problem i saw.

Well, I wish I had more for you guys to comment on. But I guess an upload is an improvement on a no-show, haha.
Cheers for the comments. I was also pleased with the sporadic finished elements in here. Composing a group of tiny illustrations in a single page is tough, surreal work.
TDK, short and fun. No qualms from me. Poor Frank though. I really dig Aurelia stripped down to a single gauntlet and shoulder-pad. Apologies I couldn't show her more in action on my side, but I hope you enjoyed it for what it was.

TDK: Props to you for finishing! Unfortunately, your panel layouts are breaking my heart. There's a lot of weird tangents going on--characters being cut off awkwardly by panel lines, action flowing weird. Laying out the entire page instead of trying to cram in panels might help you a lot more--for an example of how action flow goes from the top of the page, once side to the other properly, see this: http://i35.mangapanda.com/eyeshield-21/81/eyeshield-21-154655.jpg . Your eye goes from one direction to the other because you're following the character/action as it's oriented all in one direction.
Frazzler: shame this isn't finished! It looked like something that would have been really great to read! What is finished looks really solid.

TDK: Your comic was fun, and you kept a consistent quality throughout. Just, try to get some backgrounds in there every once in a while, haha
Frazz: Man, how I wish this comic was finished. Your completed lines are fantastic, and the plot was getting fun. It's nice to see a comic from you this time around!

Well this is quite unfinished.
I learnt a lot about what I can do in a week (not much).
Pleased with how this was shaping up, and happy for first comic attempt!
But jeez, my stamina is not quite there yet. Maybe went over board with the rendering.
Well, congrats on getting done TDK! Excited for it.
(I think I'll be getting a new dude in and doing this at a more human pace)

FRAZ- Ugh, such a shame the deadline got the better of you. When you showed off that finalized colored page in the hangout I was blown away. Still am! I'd love to see you pop in and work on some pages in real time just to see your process. Despite it not being exactly where you want it, the pages where you have your final inks on look fabulous. You really have an eye for line thickness and quality. I've never really followed Frazzler or your comics as I wasn't all too familiar, but now I definitely will!
