Bobo, this may be the first void comic to come real close to making me cry. A+

@DED, Thanks! I was trying to follow Red's advice from last battle. And yeah, I see what you and Kuro mean on the radial page. If I do one like that again, I'd definitely make it more readable.

Gregsmith, oh we'll battle alright, watch your back! *glare of death*

Bobo: really nice inks in this! It's good to see nyle getting to be a hero, poor kid. Interested to see what else you have planned for him!

Byth: very good, I like the way you wrote nyle into the story you've been developing for bagman. Aah we have to battle soon. I for one didn't have any problem reading the radial panels on page six... But that's just me! Good blacks good word bubbles... Keep it up!

Wow, I really liked both of these. I have to say, these were both, in my opinion, some of the more creative comics I've seen in a while on Void. I also enjoy that neither one was really a battle per say, and in both, both opponents actually worked together in some fashion, and neither really had a loser, so to speak (unless you count whatever is going to happen with that jelly in the prison for Bagman.... yikes @_@).

BoBo - I really like this character and the idea that he goes to Void in dreams. Is it real? Is it all in his head? I love that the very nature of Void City allows for it almost to be both... or even neither. Very cool concept. I liked your usage of line width variety, though agree that in some places it could have maybe been dialed back some, but you are on the right track. I liked too your change of environments it really helps to contrast between his hometown and Void City. Can't wait to see how this goes for Nyle down the line.

Byth1 - Same with yours, I rather enjoyed it. I will agree that the layout on panel 6 with the radial panels maybe could have been reworked to make a little more sense for reading order, however aside from that, I really liked it.  I loved the dialogue between the two and laughed out loud more than several times. I look forward to the continuing adventures of Bagman!

@Kuro, Thanks, man. Yeah, I didn't even notice that. I'll work on my layouts and making my jokes flow better

Bobo- I like what you had going. Good use of line widths & angles happening. I would've maybe tweaked the comp in a few places. There were areas where it looked like you were trying to treat the bottom of the panel as the floor or started to overlap panels in a way that cropped the first panel's composition a little awkwardly. There are a few places where the lines were maybe a little too thick though. Or the overall angle of the panel is in perspective & a character is sort of situated straight on. I've been out of the loop so I think this is the first I've read of this character but I like the concept.

Byth1- It's kind of nutty, & I chuckled a little but I don't feel that the layouts are paced properly for some of the jokes. It feels almost like you're laying things out on auto pilot (i mean look at the thumbnails, almost ever page has the same general 3 tier set up, aside from the radial page, which was strange because we're supposed to start in the top middle?) & then trying to land the jokes in the confines of that rather than have the pacing & composition dictate the layout. And there was a lot of dialogue up front that I feel could've been paced over more action & art rather than one lump in the beginning that seemed to make the thing get off to a bit of a lurchy start for me. With that, the placement needs to be planned better. Beyond that, the art felt a little rushed for me over all.

Bobes: good story and I am curious where it's going next. I really liked the bit where it fades out and in at the end!

Byth1: haha loved this... I like how you construct the story, like the character seems crazy but the plot is supergood with stuff continuing from previous battle as well.

Bobo, going in a great direction, but maybe you should ration the story out in more pages next time as the pacing seemed rushed.

Jba,. Very funny and I think you got your point across. loved the choice of panelling.

@jba1987, Yeah, I'm definitely gonna be brushing up on anatomy after this. Thanks! Glad you liked it!

@Bobo. Thanks, man! I actually really liked your comic, man. It was like sad but, uplifting at the same time?(sorry, I suck at explaining what I like about stuff, lol) It really made me understand Nyle as a character. It's funny how tonally different the comics we made with the same characters/premise. Thanks for the battle man, it was really fun!

@jba1987: Thank you so much for your comments! I usually hate my work as soon as I'm done with it, and this one especially so since it was supposed to be in full color, polished, and everything and I just procrastinated too much to finish it like I wanted. I definitely would have used more blacks if I intended it to be just black and white, which I might start practicing anyways to get a better grasp of light and shadow.

I don't mean to spam the comments section, but I really needed some positive feedback right now. Thank you!

Woah, nelly! What a nice pair!

@Byth-- Very nice work here; the story is a bit more cohesive and complete than your past work, so that's great! As always super funny ("Yo if this's about the pool, that was Duane, man" I lol'd); lots of good, dynamic angles for the panels etc. All in all yours was very entertaining and pretty well executed (you have a great eye for using black, btw). I would work on practicing anatomy, especially with skinnier, less cartoon-esque characters, and taking a bit more time with the lineart-- it can make things look hella messy when the edges of things don't connect fully or overlap one another.

@Bobo-- ;_____; That comic hit a such soft spot for me. Poor kid. You were able to get a lot across in such a short comic (I laughed, I cried, etc), so nice work for sure. I'm always impressed when people use traditional media for a comic, and you seem to have a good grasp of it, though I think next time it would help if you cleaned it up a bit better when you scan (ex- The lines on the last page look a bit fuzzy/faded etc), and tried to be a bit more liberal in using black to shade (especially helpful when you aren't working with colors).

Great job guys!

Oh man, Byth1! That was hilarious! Bagman shone like nobody else can shine in this comic, and I love the direction you took with his "training" of Nyle. It's funny how we both kind of went the direction of Bagman taking him under his wing, but man, I just didn't realize the full potential of Bagman's insanity and spastic personality!

It was fun battling you, and I hope you enjoyed my side as much as I enjoyed yours. Good luck! I have a feeling I already know who's going to win this one hahah

OKAY. I am turning in a complete comic! I didn't get to color it or add all the effects I wanted, so I'm personally disappointed, but I'm proud of what I DID manage to do right. I plan on re-uploading this comic once I've perfected it (just because I love Nyle so much and he deserves a little love at least SOMEWHERE in his life), but I hope you enjoy what's here.

And, lucky me, since I'm doing this at the last second and I'm an admin, no one will have to wait to see either of our comics! By the time I'm finished posting this comment, it'll probably be past the deadline, so I might as well post everything up for voting right away!

Good luck, and may I freaking learn my lesson a little better next time around!

Sorry guys! I'm gonna have to extend this one. Work got crazy busy, and I want to turn in something polished. I think it'll be worth the wait! I can't wait to see what you've got for me, Byth1!
