It's cool you're trying out this faux-traditional colouring, but I'm not too into it when you let the white of the page come through. It's not like your using the white as highlights or anything, it's just peeking out between your strokes. I feel like it weakens the strength of your rendering. Try doing some solid flats first, with a little bit of texture, then working on top of that. Even if you were using real coloured pencils or pastels, you'd be working from a tone before adding everything else.
Also, if you're gonna get painterly about it and let your strokes be a really visible part of the rendering, you need to be intentional with them. Every mark you make needs to inform about the object it belongs too. Really, it's going to do that no matter what, so you need to make sure it's saying what you want it to say. Too many of your rendering lines are haphazardly placed, and I think I can see a bunch of construction lines too.
It's nice seeing you move forward with your characters story dude, especially when you're playing off what other people have done with him. It definitely makes some of the most intresting stories on here, and it's one of the things that makes me love void. I can't beleive you're experimenting with such a painterly style too, since you always struck me as a dude who was really into line. It's awesome!
