Catduchess: I'm disappointed that the comic just ended abruptly.  You had a good source of conflict with the discovery of the body parts but then Boek just teleports away and that's it?  It feels anti-climactic to me.

Cherubas: The first page started out fine, but what is with the random panel shapes in page two?  It all looks chaotic and jumbled and it didn't seem like the story called for that sort of thing yet.  It makes it really hard to read when nothing seems to be in order.

Duchess this was a great first outing on Void :3 I really love that cover, but the whole story kept me engaged throughout.

red: i definitely plan to use my interactions more wisely in the next go-round! honestly since it was my first comic i was nervous about taking on anything too ambitious, but since i found myself done early i definitely saw the error of my ways hehe. i'm glad you liked the song! i found it really funny for some reason and kept singing it to myself while i was coloring...

puzzlething: yay, picking out color schemes is easily my favorite part of making comics and i'm so glad that it shows! my figure drawing teacher would be incredibly proud to see someone calling me out for getting lazy with my tubes and blocks. i've thumbnailed my next battle and it's pretty heavy on environments and figures so i'll definitely be getting some practice with that!

Catduchess                  -

                          Dude, I love the colours you use, and how much love you're putting into the rendering. Like goddamn that blue in the yellow of the wall on the second page. Your making some absolutely wonderful pallete choices throughout the comic. If you're going to go for such a painterly style though, you need utilize your strokes better. A lot of the time you get sorta scribbly with them, like you don't try to describe form or texture, you just try to get your shadows/lights down. Every mark you make should inform. You can be loose an whimsical about it, but always be mindful of what's underneath the rendering.

                Your figures are lacking in solid structure a little bit. Try basing your dudes on simple geometric shapes that you can knock out quickly. This'll not only strengthen your figures, but make it easier to illustrate complex poses. There's this dude Andrew Loomis who's done some nice lessons on the subject, but I'm sure you can find examples of that method pretty easily even without that.

                I really like the shots you chose. The angles you choose and the way you shoot objects in your world is super interesting. Make sure you pull out every so often though, just so we can get a sense of the space where the story is taking place. Otherwise, really cool visual storytelling. Your story actually reminds me of old fairytales, what with the disguised monster lying to a small child.

                It only comes up in like two panels, but your city buildings were a little simple. Don't be afraid to look at photo-references, there's way too much complicated shit on a building to ever remember by yourself.

              Amazing first showing dude, and you're already in another fight! I don't even need to wonder when I get to see your stuff again.

                      Ah maaaaaaan. I don't really know if I should critique, cause I dunno if anything I mention is just cause you were sick. What you had looks like it was gonna be really strong, though I'm not sure what I think about the panel layout on the second page. It feels kinda disjointed. Can't wait to see it done though dude.

Catduchess!!! This was a pretty good first comic. I have to admit though, I forgot about the teleport thing so I got super confused at first! If you had added in something to help the audience get what's going on then that would have been better. Even something like Fee going "whoa, you can teleport?" There are so many characters on void that not everyone can remember every power that every character has, so I think with situations like that that it's best to toss in an explanation just to make sure we are all on the same page. After I went to Boek's page and re-read his bio I was like oooooooooh!
I liked it up until the end, because it seemed to end pretty abruptly. Maybe Fee could have kept coming up with other BS reasons for the fridge contents? Other than that, I thought it was a pretty clever way to get them to interact. I thought the story overall wasn't super entertaining, but I really like the little details that you add, like the song lol. I also really like how you did the panels with the blood drip and the blood splatter. That kind of stuff is super nice.

Cherubas: Bummer you didn't get to finish, I hope you upload the rest soon! Not much to say other than that. I thought that what you had was pretty good.

cherubas has been sick over the course of the drawing period for this comic and plans to finish it later, which i totally understand.

i definitely learned a lot from making this bad boy and i'm ready to apply all this crazy knowledge to my next attempt!

catduchess, good to see you battling, Fee is an interesting character! although I feel like "Clash of the Titans" is a title that did not deliver as it was more like "Boek wanders uninvited through Fee's house; leaves", heh. Not that all comics have to be action packed, but I feel like we could have had another moment of Boek reacting and Fee reacting to each other when its clear shes killing dudes, instead its "oh head in a fridge" *BAMPH* *gone* "well there goes lunch womp-waa" like that could have been a moment for some great interaction or at the very least expressions. but I'm being picky, you're new lol its a fine story, good use of the characters, and I like how you colour, hope you draw more soon!
cherubas, damn you draw so cute lol, and your story looked like it was going somewhere but then it stopped? which is too bad because Boek is a funny kid and I liked this one! I like your line work and your panel layout!
