Adam: I love the sobbing scenes, so dramatic! Page 3 and 4 were kind of confusing, it could possibly just be composition. Other than that, I have nothing else to say.

Evi: Such a completely different take on the goblin princess! The color change was really great when Onion entered Goblin's throne. One thing I'd like to say is that you're using very thick outlines, and just for something like tears, where it's liquid, thin, and see-through, thick outlines does not make it convincing. Try thinning the outline, or even drawing in the outline underneath with very thin or vague lines to give the hint that you can see through the object.

Adam                -

As always dude, your line art is just so clean and dynamic. Seriously, the amount of movement you get in every little thing is just crazy. Your environments do dissolve pretty early on, but with a 1 week deadline I can't hold that too much against you. It's crazy that we finally get a glimpse at Goblin Princess's personality, I thought she was totally just going to remain an inhuman monster for the entirety of the tourney.

Page 4 feels a little confusing, because I feel like you're super close to doing the whole read-this-on-an-S-curve thing, but you do like one or two small things that weaken it too much to read well. The "She will when I kill her" box should be below the "We are just going to look at your memories" box. You put it on the left there left like people would automatically shift to the left after the previous dialogue box, but without panel distinctions the reader is just going to follow the illustration to the nearest box. Also, I think you should've angled the blue panels so that their curves angled down and inwards towards the center illustration. It would've strengthened the S curve and focused the readers attention on the memories.

And now she's the Onion Knight!

I love how closely you tie colour to emotion in your comics. In the beginning everything is muted, and we get this rare moment of clarity and lucidity before things get crazy again. And you always keep the truth just out our grasp, give us just enough crumbs that we're still hungry for more. I wish it hadn't taken something as crazy ass PPT to get you out there making comics, because these are seriously wonderful.

In your comic, my dear Adam, I found it surprisingly invigorating to see some good old fashioned blood and grits. Masterfully done. A few pencils lines still stand a bit out but it does lend a touch of roughness and derringdo to the pages. I am however a bit partial to the typography you employed in your little creation. Surely one can find more suitable modes of expressing the dialogue in a more appealing way - but then again, that is only my own preference. Still a jolly good "bloody" read. Chip chip.

As for little darling Evi, I am quite taken aback by the sudden changes in cute little Onion's evolution (if one can indeed say it was), but do not get me wrong as I like it. It pose a certain challenge in future battles if you manage to bag this round, but I do think you can pull this off. The ending was a bit sparse and I am hunkering for more, as this round of comics has not really resolved itself. Insofar as the tournament goes, it pleases me, to see that you are thoroughly consistent in your rounds. Quite commendable I dare say.

So to the both of you. Cheers! I lift my glasses to you two brave stalwart comic warriors. Huzzah!

Oooh.. I love how in depth you guys got with your characters! They were both really great stories!

Adam: I can't get over your expressions. I absolutely love them! I do have to agree with Red though, I think the font is a bit big and distracting.

Evi: Your style is so cute and charming! I really like the color palette you had and having the beginning saturated and the pre fight in bold, fiery colors. Too bad you couldn't get to the fighting, though. I feel like those colors really would have brought out a lot emotion Onion Princess was feeling!

Evi: sweet story, by far my favorite out of the onion comics you have done. (Not just cause my princess is in it) but the story just felt epic and I really wanted to see the rest of it. I like how you used the g.princess as a cause for onion's mental state. I dug the story great job! And I am glad you are ok with how I used the onion knife, I wasn't sure if it was a cursed blade or if she was just bat shit crazy.... So I just kind of ran with the cursed idea, so glad you didn't mind the inturpitation. Great job :)

Evi, your a sweet pea. I didn't actually think you meant it that way, just how something like that looks like to me on my first read through

Evi: I didn't see it as disrespectful at all. This was a transformation for Onion Princess, so I thought it was fine to have it at the end like that. You're so sweet, I can't imagine you trying to be nasty to anyone like that :) I hope no one else thinks of it that way.
Besides all that, I do wish there was a bit of fighting... but like you said, time constraints. I thought the colors were beautiful, and I really enjoy Onion Princess's story thus far. Your style and art is super adorable! It's a shame it couldn't have been just a bit longer! Definitely one of my favorite princesses!

Adam:
You have a really great style as well! I love your expressions so much. I have a soft spot for goblins too lol.
A couple of things though... I really think the size of your text detracts from your lovely art. It's seriously HUGE and I just wish it was formatted in a nicer way. Your backgrounds are also pretty lacking... I've done 1 week death matches before so I totally get that time crunch, but if you go on to next round I'd just try to toss a more few in!

Adam: I really enjoyed your comic :) your interpretation of Onion Knight was especially enjoyable to me! also Cleaveus is a great name, maybe I could officially change it to that hehe

Synje: Thank you for the comment. I actually wanted them to fight but my problem was mainly the time constraint and had to prioritize.
As for the last page... maaan that wasn't my intention at all, sorry you took it the wrong way. I just wanted to add the design as an extra because I spent a considerable amount of thought into it before even making the comic so I thought I'd put it at the end... looking back I can see why you'd think that way though, so, sorry about that. I mean no disrespect.
I would also like to add that her design will change regardless if she dies or not.

Awesome we got to know more from each fighter good stuff guys.

Evi- I like this comic more then your others and it was leading to somewhere pretty cool but a 'to be continued' before any fighting actually happens sucks. I think having the last page be a redesign pose is bad taste. Its like saying I know I'm going to win so heres my redesign for my next fight, just update your design pose if you win.

Uploaded! I had to condense this quite a bit to fit into the one week deadline so, sorry if the ending felt a little abrupt :0
Looking forward to seeing your comic, Adam :)
