I'm always hella impressed with your pacing and panel layouts. Your stories always read so clearly, it's VERY nice. My only crit is exactly what's been said- coulda used some color or tone. Other than that, I really enjoyed this. <3 YOU DRAW PIP MARVELOUSLY. BONUS POINTS.

Definitely a quality Beyond Battle, full of singsong dialogues, cute expressions and nice wide shots detailing the new Void. The sidescroller page layout is quite an interesting layout that impressed me and your settings are detailed, although they could use some more depth. In terms of improvements I think either some greys/tones or colors would have broken up all the white. Your blacks on Pip do a great job of this but some third value is needed. I've actually taken the exact same stumble Xia took over Pip and have the chin scar to show for it- tho I was running from a bee.

Its been awhile since we've had the pleasure of seeing a comic from you, but it was well worth the wait. You managed to reposition Xia in the Voidverse canon and in a meaningful way I'm interested to see developed over time. The third Queen of Void is established in 'the XiaCave'- between Vivs Ruined City and Veronica's Sky City, the stage is now set for the future of Void.

oh god pip is unbearably cute hhnnnnnnnnnghhhhhhh

I don't have a lot to say that hasn't already been brought up, because this is some really solid stuff. The line art is clean and nice, and I really like your page layouts. You keep it varied, but still very straightforward and clear. I think you put your characters in white voids way too often, I'd like to see some more backgrounds in there. And when you do draw backgrounds, maybe be a little more careful with them. It's like your characters are so strong, and show such a wonderful attention to line width variation, but then a lot of the city scape is is barely there, and feels rushed in some spots.

Great work Skulls, can't wait till your next comic!

Thanks for the feedback so far! Seems that most of the crits I'm getting are focused around the same thing, so to clarify, I didn't intend to color or shade this BB this time around and it seems to have taken a bit of a negative effect, so a definite note taken on what to do next comic I post. Any other feedback, I welcome it!

:D I know you don't prefer color comics, Skulls, but I agree with Wei that the lines needed a little something extra added to them. Especially solid blacks. I think what I'd like to see next time is a some *texture* to the lineart, either in the form of shading or more background details.

That underground cutaway was really well thought and executed! I've been trying to think of how to depict that same going-underground scene in my own comics recently, and you nailed it perfectly. Pip and Xia were so cute in this, and the supporting cast appearances added to the story a lot. I also like how you approached the inheritance storyline, and I can't wait to see where Xia's story goes next.

I really got a 'i wanted to colour this but didn' t' vibe from this.....your linework is good but not varied enough to support art without blacks, tones, or colour........and if you did intend on coloring this.....no excuses for a lack of a deadline

Nice paneling...especially the last half......the 'trek' is my favorite too

This was a good comic..good enough to make me forget my bias against drawing digitally.......but it could have been a really good comic with a bit more effort

My favorite shot is the 2D underground trek, and your face work has evolved since last I saw, good job overall. My critique is that whole these are pretty nice lines, they are begging to be filled in with colors or shades or even hard blacks. There's alot of emptiness(and I don't mean the lack of people) and it feels like you completed the lines of the comic and then stopped; it feels only sorta finished as a result to me.

Its great to see Pip get more action and this was a good cute comic overall. I am really enjoying these post-Hiemie BB's.

...And Wizzie can have the BOOOZE!

Brilliant comic!! Your panelling and pacing is great and I love the relationship you built with Pip and Xia so quickly, your lines are really improving but I think you can push it to get them that little bit tighter and you'll be kicking arse!!

i cant give too many if any critiques but i found it entertaining. Dont know anything about the happenings of void at this time nice inks could use a little bit more black or heavier gray. Cool stuff tho

It's actually a different one, as the one I initially was working on is being postponed and reworked for a more up to date release.

Shouldn't take 4 weeks literally, but starting a new job might effect how fast this comic gets done, so juuuust in case.
