Thresh - I liked the darkness you were going for in the linework, shadowy, Mike Mignola-esque in places. Keep working on making your shadows neater, because I think you could really develop this style into something great! I loved Starshine's foulmouthed reaction to Edge's kill-stealing, but thought the moment itself was a bit muddled and not too clear about what was taking place.

Jetster - Loved seeing Lilyfeather and Special Friend in there! I also agree with Bobo, I wish you'd completed this as the story was getting interesting. "If magical kids were aways told the truth" was a chilling and intriguing bit, and the "Mine Too!" panel was adorable. I do think the art on this wasn't as good as your other comics, but I hope to see more soon. Vanity's always entertaining!

THRESHER- I think I didn't get the full whammy of your battle because I left my mouth hanging open a couple pages back by Lady Vanity's sailor's mouth. Holy crap! I personally liked the rough and loose inks/colors, but even I have to admit when details counted, you didn't quite get them across. It's been said before, but I'll echo it- tightening up that quality will really go a long way!

JETSTER- What...happened? I had to doublecheck to make sure it was you since the usual quality of art I expected didn't seem to come across at all this go round. The story based on the first page alone had real potential and I'm heartbroken it didn't all come together. I wish I had more to say, but after page one your pencils are too rough for me to properly read the dialogue.
I do hope you finish this because Lady Vanity has become such an instant favorite of mine and I wanna see more from her school.

Thresher: I really enjoyed Starshine's dialogue. Made me laugh quite a bit. However, I felt really confused during most of the battle, and I didn't get much of a feel for Edge at all. I know you got busy, but I'd like to see a bit clearer art and better characterization on Edge in the future. PS--Kudos on using Starshine instead of Lady Vanity in this one. That was fun to see.

JETSTER: I really wish you could have finished this. I like where it was going, and I loved the cameos (even though they weren't mine hahah!) I don't really have much to critique since it wasn't finished, so I'l just say I'm excited to see a finished battle next time!

Lily cameo! XD my poor naiive Lilyfeather! Jetster I feel like we're unfolding some wonderful plot here, I want more! (looks like it got a bit messy at the end though, I had to go back and read it again to make sure I understood!)
Thresher your messy style here is cool to look at but a bit hard to follow! I loved the story though and I hope we get to read the end of it one day!

Jetster: I liked what you had so far! Though sometimes the characters seem off model from time to time (mainly Edge) - hope you can get to finish the comic some time.

Thresher: This was way to messy for me to even read, i like the shading you attempted (like on the faces) but it just adds to the messiness in my opinion, try tightening things up next time. Remember, you had an extension on this deadline! Quality over quantity.
