Qyzex - I enjoyed a ton of things about this comic. The non-fight setup, colors were nice, the cool effects on pages 4-6 added a lot. However I wish that once the "fight" started, there had been a little more. I feel like so much more could have happened, both in terms of the battle itself and the humor. I liked it still, and love how much your work has advanced since the last time I saw it.

RoflQu - Loved the look of this comic. I may not know a thing about coloring, but I know what I like seeing, and I feel like your style and the colors and the whole texture of the comic all looked great. There was definitely more going on here then in your opponent's comic, however I feel the same way after reading it as I did the other, like more could have happened. Definitely advanced the character's story, which I like, and thats the main goal I suppose, is to tell amazing stories.

Either way, best wishes to both of you in this tournament! Can't wait to see what happens next.

This will be a hard time deciding on votes for you two: I liked both story very much.

Quzex - Continuation is a nice touch, then it goes bananas and I have to admit I almost fall of my chair when I saw the henshin shinning away XD Animations are a sweet touch and despite them being just glowing ones I appriciate them very much - I wish I could do like one animated battle panel from time to time ;)

RoflQu - Your colors are pretty slick. Storywise no battle feels forced too much since the tournament theme binds it very well, and it's a believable one because you describe the process of it. I feel like there's one page missing of action in between punches, but it isn't a tragedy. Overthe course of this tournament Andre really grew as a character and it was well established that his powers makes him not human anymore - glowing scars are the best part. I especially like the way you placed your bet on Pandora winning, and used Scarmageddon - it makes me hyped for the Scarmageddon 2 XD

Ah, awesome work guys.
I dig those crazy graphics thar Qyzex. It was quick, sweet, and good story line.
Rofl, good work there. I like the story as well the use of these textures that do nicely with the ink work.

Qyzex-This was a fun comic and the subtle animations were a very nice effect, I liked that some of them were so subtle I kept picking different ones up on multiple read throughs. Your color choices are great but your rendering could still use some refining. Like on page 3 you have this nice smooth cel shading on the second and third panels, but on the other panels on the page the shading was more jagged and random. This mostly seems to be a problem in clothes like Andre's arm in 4th panel there where the highlights don't really seem to match the form of the arm if that makes any sense. Same thing on the last panel of that page, the shading on Ponch's arm doesn't seem to make sense. The story was fun, nothing ground breaking but I enjoyed it overall.

Rofl-I'm glad that you took my advice on the texturing, the colors this round came out great, keep on doing what you're doing there. I know that you initially hated working with Andre but I'm glad you stuck with him because he's really given you the chance to broaden your horizons writing wise and I'm really enjoying his story. Your action is coming along well but page 4 could have been executed a bit better. I imagine time had something to do with it but it would have been better to either split the action on page 4 into 2 pages or put more panels there because it was really jarring to see this intense action going on next to a few paragraphs of text. Same deal on page 6 first panel, it would have been good to show panels that followed what he was talking about. You can only have so many large narration panels before it gets tiring.

Qyzex- You had me shitting my pants bro. I laughed so hard when I saw the sparkly page of Sentai Ponch, and then I laughed again at Andre shoopin da woop at Ponch. The animation effects really made me laugh too and it was especially nice with the campfire. I also was a fan of the way you did Andre's scars. I almost didn't notice them at first, but they are there just really subtle and when the campfire light lights up you can see 'em better etc. I thought that was kind of cool.

RoflQu - Damn man, this is a really nice looking comic! And again,  your story is really well written but  I can tell you got strapped for time because like Stephen I found that I wasn't really digging the pages with just big blocks of text. Overall though I think that I am really liking what you are doing with Andre now. If there is one thing I could suggest, is to learn to make some cleaner tails on your word bubbles. It would really go a long way to help pushing further the quality you've got going on here man! The pen tool, which I normally despise, can be your best friend here for those!

Anyway, good luck to whoever moves on. You guys both made awesome comics so just do it again next round :)

Nice work, guys!  I liked both of these a lot.  I thought it was interesting how your coloring styles are so similar even down to the "page" texturing.

Qyzex:  This was really funny!  I really liked the gag at the end and I thought the minor animation was well done for the most part.  It was a little distracting during the fight, but other than that I thought it was pretty great.  Once I noticed it on page two I really liked it.

ROFLQU:  Another good comic.  I really like your style and Andre is a cool character.  I thought the punch between pages four and five should have been shown more clearly and I wasn't really a fan of the prose style narration outside of the panels, but it was still a really solid comic and I enjoyed reading it.

Looks like we were both strapped for time!

Let it be known that I'll always fight you any given day of the week and that you and I have to do a Sweet Itch and Merk comic after this tournament.

Damn. SIDENOTE:

I'm starting to think Ponch is racist. He's only fought black people in this tourney.
