sean, I think I like how retarded it is. And that sounds a lot worse than I mean it, because I mean that in the best possible way. Does that make sense?! I dunno. At the same time, the fonts were wildly inconsistent & the backgrounds were really kinda crap. Focus more on the backgrounds & maybe consider doing all of the text either by hand. Also, crush the black fill areas. Seeing marker strokes makes it look sloppy.

beard, it's clear you can handle character's ok & you're well along in your style but your backgrounds didn't match up. They seemed too simple & plain for the level of detail & style you gave everything else. Also there is line variation, but I'd recommend going thicker on some because it's looking like you're erring on the side of being really light.

wow, you both did a lot of pages in a short amount of time!
not too bad, but it may have hurt you guys to rush it or do more than you can handle in the short time.

anyways!
Sean: cool character, has potential as a great psycho serial killer of some sort, but the comic is VERY messy.
some good expressions, but it felt very cluttered all around, your previous comic with Ziggy was better quality-wise.
look forward to more from you though! :D

BeardFace: I can tell you LOVE this character and have been drawing him well before void.
when cleaned up, this comic rocked! it has all the essentials, if you had more time this would have been amazing colored. and i like how you break the fourth wall too. backgrounds may need some work though :p

cant wait to see more from both of you!

Wow!
Beard! You have a fan!
Sketchy is a great character to work on when it comes to expressions and emotes!
Your panels were great! (Especially the first one on page 7.)
And your story was a pleasure to read. Cheers!

Sean - Not bad.. but not great. It was a bit hard to follow for me. AmanitaZest posted exactly what I was going to comment on.

Psycho Sean- I love the energy you put into your drawings, but your panel layouts are really busy- it's very hard to follow along with the action. Take some time to plan how you want to lead the reader's eye and think about how to make the action clearer.

Beard- I freaking love Sketchy! He's a terrific smartass character- the expressions and body language really sell him for me. My major advice would be to try and improve the environments- often they felt too clean and empty, which is especially weird for a dark alleyway. Be careful with the meta-commentary, too- there were a lot of artists who had pages apologizing for their work being rushed, and though yours was far more entertaining, don't worry about excusing yourself for the art. Stuff happens, just make it as good as you can!

Sean: Not bad, but you need to learn how to use adjustments, curves, and levels in photoshop, it'll help to eliminate all the gray and leave nothing but clean black and whites. Story was OK, but art was just too distracting to really pay attention.

Dan #3495852 on this website: Sweet stuff dude, but word of advice, darken your inks! They look like pencil marks with how light they are. Also, if you're going to make your comic black and white, keep it black and white, there was no need to make the word balloons orange as your comic flowed perfectly. I really wish you had finished this up nice and proper, still though you're one of the top contenders in this tournament so far.

Oh m god, Sketchy is amazing. He has this really old school cartoon vibe, and I can't help but feel a bit of SEGA style going on there but then again that is what I grew up with. Probably just an old school video game sort of style in general. Anyway, he is such a really cool character and I love the way you draw him dude. Great stuff.

PsychoSean, cool comic but a bit hard to follow! Your character is also a really cool one as well.

But man, what a great matchup. Nice job!

Sean, I think if your expressions got any more crazy, those faces would rip off their heads and form a thrash polka band.  I love the energy, but it's flow and readability needs work.

Good laughs, you nailed Sketchy (love that opening scene), and it's good to see my vision of Doodle Dan wasn't too far off (hope I did him justice!)

Best of luck!

Sean: It's been said before, but your comic was a bit hard to follow. On top of that, some of your pages felt a bit cluttered. I thought you did have good expressions though.

Beard: Shit man, your comic brought me back to a time when cartoons were worth watching. Your dialogue was great. I completely forgot I was reading an unfinished comic.

Nice job to both of you.

Wow. Just... Just wow. I'm not even sure how to respond to this one. Both fights were great!

Psycho Sean: It was a little hard to follow some of the panel layouts and character motions. Practice making your forms clearer and establishing characters in relation to others, i.e. in terms of distance, placement in an environment, etc. Other than that, very amusing and fun read! Great job!

BeardedMenace: Time caught up to you! But what you had was amazing nonetheless! The perfect lines and clean shading was used quite expertly! Great pacing and very easy to follow character motion. Just try not to be so crazy ambitious! Or rather, BE SO AMBITIOUS YOU GET IT ALL DONE WOOO! That's right, I went there.

Good luck to both of you!

Last night when I read everyone's bios I remember thinking how perfect these two were for each other. I think you two can steal the show with this matchup. No defaults!
