Yeah thanks for the advice, I'm planning to invest in a lightbox as soon as they have a sale at my local art store which is the end of this month.
My next battle will have a 3 week deadline, I'll do that simply cause I thought I was going to finish but those last two pages (my weakest ones in my opinion) were super rushed.

Great job yo...I'm going to echo Angie. Your work would be much more solid if not for the distracting dirtiness of it. I docked you on quality for that. A solution for myself has been the use of the lightbox...It has eliminated 99% of all artifacts in my scans since there's no pencil to erase...there's no stray pencil lines that show up...granted lightboxing doesn't work for everybody. I know some people who use electric erasers to clean up work...or just a vigilant eye and some photoshop...
Your choice of framing your shots is a bit on the safe side (a lot of straight on or direct profile shots 3/4 or close ups..) I'd vary a bit more birds eye, worms eye, etc. I'd also work on your BGs they seem empty.
I really like your drawing style and your story telling and I've always been a fan of the ethereal narrator (ie the notes...the self deprecation of ones own work "Where He GO!!?" LAWL) ala Scott Pilgrim/WonTon soup...etc...
extremely great first effort

Nice first showing! You're still having some problems with cleanup that I brought up in your character submission. Your style looks very clean so to have random pencil lines and dirt kind of kills the presentation. Others have already touched on the anatomy and backgrounds so I won't really go in depth into that. I think one of the biggest things is you really just need more drawing time. 2 weeks is a deadline I couldn't manage and I've been on the site for years, so I know a new person should definitely test the waters with a long deadline first until they know they can handle a shorter deadline.

Sorry again for the mix up. As this battle will become BB I need to finish it more, add some more backgrounds and better colors isntead of posting what I have.
I was really angry and sad when I find out, but I guess this sort of thing is suppose to happen when you wait with upload till the deadline.
Coatl - I like your plot - it's simple, but neat. I accept the simplicity, but sometimes Awesome's proportion makes him look shorter than he is - 7'0".

Yeah what he said. Practice those things and some more anatomy stuff. Your guy seems fine but Mr. Awesome suffered especially from his midsection down. Page 2 was my favorite though. I loved his reaction upon realizing he had met a superhero. Unto the next battle!

After re-reading my old battles I notice that I tend to not finish them as well as I could. I'll spend some more time on this one just to see how much diffrence that will give - maybe one of my battles will be good enough to show on a job intervew some day.
All pages scanned and now wait for photoshop to make them shine XD Week to go and I only made a script and scanned the pages - Wow, I suck XD

Thanks a lot. I don't want to hype, but I try not to fuck up XD
Plot is decided and I asked people what they think and it might come up as funny for some. It's up to my art to decide how good will it work out
Fern - Yes, his hair is longer now since he grew 50 years old this year - needed a change XD

Time management is a tough skill to wrangle. The first comic is always a huge learning experience, huh? I'm glad you posted on time, but yeah-- those messy pencil lines hurt. I thought the concept was great, I loved your interpretation of Mr Awesome, and Sonny's enthusiasm was delightful.
Can't wait to see Sonny in the ring again.
