it means you're 83% more cool than 1%

I think it's a glitch. Sometimes BBs will have 100% because...well you're only voting for one person and then sometimes I see this happen where there is a percentage. I guess Ben is fighting an invisible opponent who only got 16% of the vote.

I think that is the overall grade, but I am still not sure.

i believe you crushed this. i have no real issues with it other than maybe getting a little too eager with the hatching in some spots. otherwise this is top notch work!

Thanks guys! I go kinda trigger-happy when it comes to hatching sometimes. Well, most of the time. One of these days, I'll figure out what I'm doing.

Squid! I'm really glad you pulled through with this story, as I really enjoyed the way you executed it. I like how you mix modern narrative a la Marcelo's personality to explain historical incidents, too. I'd have to disagree with other people because I thought page 7 came out pretty clear for me and I didn't have much trouble discerning the figure from the BG. I can tell you invested alot of effort and time overall, though. Great work.

oh and I enjoyed this when you posted last year...and I enjoyed it this time too...I was really excited when I saw it pop up...I was like NOOOOO SHIIIITT!!!
I think the hatching only became a problem because EVERYTHING was hatched...I liked a lot of what was happening in the first 3 pages because of the variation of techniques..sguiggles and contour and cross and vertical hatching...silohuetting etc etc...I still liked this...booyah

How so in the middle panel?... The biggest problems I'm seeing is the first panel, first tier for the reason that Michael said, and the first panel on the third tier where Marcelo is getting lost in Ben's earring-feathers.
I'm totally with you guys on the hatching often swallowing up everything else and hampering clarity, I'm just kind of surprised that you are citing page 7, which I thought was one of the clearer ones on the whole.

Yup!
See, the limbs different between one and another gets confusing because of the hatching because you didnt darken enough near the edges to be able to differentiate those ¨limbs¨. Biggest example there on middle panel with Ben's finger thumbing Marcelo.

This was a very fun read. The pages are yelling at me that you put a lot of time and effort into them. I trust their words. My only complaint is that the last panel came off a little weak for an ending joke. Other than that, bravo.

On page 7 the first panel, the character doesn't pop off the background as much as he should.

I think page 7 is fine... The first box is a little bit too unified (if that;s a word) but rest is fine.
Or more like, ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL.
I love how this is a mix of sort of childrens books, aztec-y stuff and the crosshatching... bew-tee-fool!!!!!!!!!

can you elaborate a little, Z? I agree that I got carried away with the hatching in other places, but I thought page 7 was okay..
thanks for the comments!

I kind of want to see a Dragon Ball comic from you now ; u;
And how much do you charge for CLASSES??!
And agreed on michael, the hatching is weird in some areas, though it's actually just in page 7, where the volume hatching kind of gets in the way of the lineart

I love you... the etching gets a little out of control in places, but I am placing a poster of you on my ceiling as I type this.

Pages 1, 2, and 3 were inked about a year ago (omg that long?), that's why there's a jump in style/quality. I wanted to try a different style, I wasn't very concerned with making them all match.
