phase: i'm glad you posted a link to your dA so we could see some other comics you've done. your drawings usually show a very strong grasp of anatomy/clothing folds---those traits are present here, but not as much as in your last comic or in the other ones on your dA. the drawings were still very good, though, and the only place where they bothered me was for the hot dog vendor (his legs, especially); you definitely could've done better than that without even trying!

wiggen: the story was pretty cool, but i think the pacing hurt it a little... like on pages 6 and 7, the way everything was presented had very little impact. page 9 didn't really work for me either; i understand why you wanted to drag that moment out, but the image needs a lot more detail for it to last longer. still, it was a fun read and a solid entry!

phase, i can understand not being able to complete. but it seems like your stuff relies very heavily on the colors to help make things stand out & look distinct, when ultimately, even uncolored the line art should be just as clear. also, remember to format your pages for easy viewing on the site. you can keep the originals at whatever size you'd like, but it was a bit difficult to read with my screen & res. and for the sake of impact, varying up the text can really help as well.

wig, i liked the story as it was. the beginning might have been a little excessive, but if the chase was as cool as you're saying, you could always post a BB of it. otherwise this wasn't bad at all. my only thing is that while the pacing seemed ok as a lead up, once things got nutty, the pages suddenly seemed very dense showing all the action. like the crazy hellish stuff could have easily used its own page.

Agree on casting. Now I must endeavor to bring this battle to the silver screen. :P

Phaseout, I'm sad that you didn't give me 12 pages of sheer awesome, but I honestly enjoyed your entry. I loved the dialogue you created for my character and the story you wrote. And props for pacing, man. I read my comic and I feel like I hopped from this to that with nary a care for how it might read in the end.

phase-Buer is creepy and vivid, which makes him GREAT! But, sometimes your panels can be a little TOO vivid and I loose track of what your portraying. I know it's to be stylized and trippy, but when we jump back to reality I'm almost like "what happened?". I know the coloring helped alot before, but it could just be me.

Wiggen-Great start. Love your rendition of Buer and you even captured his nightmare trip well.

random: I would get Elden Henson to play Buer and Adrien Brodey for Todd...that is all.

So Buer: I like your figures and the ideas behind your stories but the general sense of incompleteness here hurts you.  I know you scrapped twelve pages and such but what you've turned in is still far from complete.  The story seems cool and all but...yeah.  It's a step backwards from your first battle.  It was interesting though how you continued off of Todd's intro.

Wiggen, your story was good.  I liked it and I thought it interesting that you and Buer seemed to have the same general story going.  Did you guys agree to that beforehand?  I like the way it ended and I have no complaints about your story except for the NOOOOO word bubble.  I feel like it's a litttle...off.  Too many up and down deviations and a random hyphen for no good reason.  I mean text size changes are fine in such a scene but I guess I find the Hyphen distracting.

*sleeping*

Mom: Hey wake up! Your battle didn't upload and it says it's past due. You don't think they'll kick you off?

*sleep bubble pops*

Okay, as long as it's not something I did.

Right now the Void FTP isn't working, Toast is aware of this problem. It's something neither of us can fix as far as I know. I was able to get Wiggen's side thumbnailed but not phaseout's side. I'll wait until tomorrow when I get up and see if I can access the server and get the thumbs uploaded. If I can't, this will go up with only 1 side having thumbnails since I don't wanna hold you guys up for them.

And here I am with only a quarter of the work done. And by done I mean in a variety of stages ranging from
thumbnails to 'partially complete'. But I'm still pretty excited.

Wolcik: Anyways, Good luck. It'll be nice to see some Boggart action :)

Awesome. But with extra time, try to use it to fix up a few things here and there with a void battle, a bit of polish never hurts.
