not my cup of tea, but i appreciate what it was trying to do. one thing that bugged me is while generally it was all kind of the same face, that same face wasn't consistent. features would kind of float off center a little bit sometimes & look a little rushed. beyond that the photoshopped sound effect/title things weren't so hot. if all you have is ps, look into ai, but in the interim: shoot for a bigger res & then drop them in without the layer effects next time to avoid the pixelating & everything.

Hey Kid, good effort here, comic was mostly consistent and complete. The super intense colors don't bother me too much, the comic just needed more of a range of color, at least the backgrounds could have been toned down to make the brightly colored characters pop. Right now everything is super intense and kinda flattens everything together visually.
Not sure how your doing the lettering in PS or AI ( i would recommend trying AI if you haven't) but some of the sound efects and the musical special effects came out real jagged, which stood out cuz things are mostly real crisp here. A tip is to maybe create those elements really large, so you don't have to blow them up in size where they get pixelated. AI is great for this cuz you can create an object, then size it up or down to any size without quality loss and then copy/paste to PS.
Your page layouts worked well, but I would agree the camera angles need some more dynamics, at least in the fight scene. everything was so close p.o.v. to the characters that I didn't get a sense of movement and action that more varied shots would bring.  Also makes the actions easier to understand. Overall your girls are pretty cute, keep studying from life and they'll look even better.
You put a lot of nice little details and things in here, such as the various treatments with the lettering, which was good. just keep it up and keep practicing the basics like perspective, etc...

The way that comic went I almost wanted you to push it even more myself.  Even brighter colors, even larger eyes, even more melodramatic action poses, make blood pour out the viewer's head in pints!  That kind of thing.  As it is it's in a kind of awkward middle ground between traditional fight and manga parody.  I like it, just seems like something's missing.

aww molotov, i was interested in what you were gonna do :C

Kid: woah woah woah. First off, i think next you should try using less saturated colors. They were way bright and hurt my eyes; just look out for that next time. Tone the colors done. Nice lines though. They were smooth and neat, but could have some more variation. Same goes with the faces. But overall your quality was ok and was the same quality all the way through. The story was ok and straight forward. I could follow it easily. But it seemed cliche and very predictable. You can have fun with it and add a little twist! :3 But overall, this was a fairly decent comic. Keep at it and you'll have no problem with those in no time! C:

Well I liked Jesse's comic.  A pity Latem's wasn't up.  But about Jesse's comic, I think in most respects it was fine, although it seemed a little...bland at times.  Like you could probably improve with different perspectives to make the fight more interesting.  Like when Latem was holding her guitar, that was an interesting pose/perspective.  But this ties into my thoughts on the fight choreography.  I feel like it was too back and forth and that your characters just had a small panel to work with so we couldn't enjoy the full fight.  OR rather...too many face shots and not enough body in the fighting.  Too crowded.  I'm not enamored with the last page, despite the fact that the finisher looks cool, but her leg seems off there, likes it's not coming from the right joint, and we don't see the effects of the attack.  It just seems rather abrupt.  Otherwise I enjoyed it.

Because a body has to be at the computer to put it up. Me and Wei aren't always up to put it up the instant it's due. In the future please make sure your images aren't huge, I had to resize them to make them easy to read. Ideally your pages should not be over 700X1000

Manually uploaded The Kid's half. This battle is now in Toast's hands as I can't put up battles where I have to manually upload.

As a heads up to everyone, massive file sizes will cause the uploader to fail almost 100% of the time so if your pages are 500KB and up a piece, you probably won't have luck uploading it.
