dime - glad to see you pushing the angles & color palettes in your comics. it looked pretty nice. i\'d really work more on the faces though. they\'re really falling into a very same-y look.
betito - vary up your angles some more. and while i\'ve got my own issues with making battles too long, this seemed shorter than short. there wasn\'t much substance to it as far as story.

@Zsa: thanks a bunch, glad to hear my inks have gotten better. I\'ll be more careful with the foreground and back. :3
@faux: yeah, I felt the backgrounds still needed a bit more for this comic >>; and I\'m still working on anatomy ^^; thank ya!
Michaelharris: Yup ,The characters in the background aren\'t constructed as well as the ones in the foreground, reason they look crappy :0 I\'ll spend more time on them. Oh, and yeah, I agree that the story was trite, it\'s why I\'m not so happy with this entry.
By the way the VCPD does not like ScurCrow because he\'s a klutz and can\'t do anything right and he also caused a lot of damage to the city before. I plan to have a battle explaining what he did, later on though.

Dimension, I liked the overall quality of your work, but you kinda draw like a video game. All the main characters get the high polygon counts but the background characters are kind of crappy. the whole glowing bubble effect around the person got really annoying. I wasn\'t a big fan of the story, it seemed kind of trite and random, I think you could have included a sentence or two as to why they didn\'t like him. The dialogue seemed more like how someone write a story and less like how people talk in everyday life.
Betito, the are was pretty good although I think it looks a lot like anime. THe story was very similar to anime as well. It was kind of random and extremely short. Keep working on anatomy and all of your panels seemed very crowded. The words you are using are a lot bigger than in regular comics as well.

Dimension- Very cool dialogue, love the plot too! Backgrounds I felt could use more attention, as well as anatomy. Very entertaining to read!
Betito- Love the colors and style! The charcters look stiff sometimes though, so you might want to watch out for that. Also it moved really fast. Scarecrow seems very mysterious. Great expressions and creative backgrounds.
In the end, my vote goes to Dimension!
Great job to both of you!

Very ncie battle!
Dimension: So Scurcrow apparently had a previous connection with the police?
The inks looks very much improved from your battle royale, and I dig the shading, while \"simple\" adds a lot of value along with the inks. Also, the first panel looks great! I like that your panels are very wide!
Sometimes the perspective feels off with tfore and background, but it\'s not annoying, but make sure to look after it!
Betito: The first panel in yours is CLASSIC i loved it.
Your panelling is not bad, but sinc eyou\'re always making superpositioning one over the other, sometimes it feels a bit polluted.
The introdution to Scurcrow you made felt a bit ankward, but I think it\'s not bad either. I like that despite the character you are battling with you still follow your own storyline
Good luck guys, I gave it to Dimension, but both were really nice!

Oh and uh, I nearly forgot D:
@angie: haha, I could have sworn you were gonna tell me that I needed more backgrounds in this and that the ones I had were lacking. guess I was wrong XD Yeah, I\'m getting more used to my new tablet so my inks, I think, will be less shaky in the future :3 I\'m glad you critiqued my comic quality wise and story wise too because I could really use some tips when it comes to the story writing part D: I\'ll work on the dialogue.....I was thinking about taking out the \"poopin ponies on pogo sticks\" thing, but I was lazy and kind of wanted it in there, haha. XD Thank you!
@soulless sanctuary: Haha, glad it made you laugh thanks!
eeeerm, I\'m not all that happy with my entry since I felt the story wasn\'t all that grand and original. I\'ll have to do better next time. :3

@betito: I like your water colors, man and I loooooooooove how you drew Crow on page 3, his face is too adorable (that\'s gonna be my new avatar for the forums by the way) and the bird on his arm was soooo cute. I also liked how you made Crow attack the cops with the birds XD that was awesome!
You had some really nice foreshortening going on, as well as some good backgrounds. I\'d suggest maybe to make the font size a bit smaller though since it seems to take up a lot of space D: but other than that this was great :3
thank you so much for battling me dude, I appreciate it!

Angie: yes .. I had very little time between the work of the university and this battle.. was very bad idea to paint everything with watercolors =/ sorry
My story does not convince me, I\'ll do better next time! Thanks for your comment

Dimension-I felt artistically this was pretty nice, I really enjoyed that first panel on the first page, it\'s good to see you getting more experimental with your backgrounds. You\'re still having some problems keeping your inking steady but there\'s a definite improvement in your backgrounds, I\'m happy to see you getting more comfortable with them. I did notice you had quite a lot of profile shots, so try not to have so many of those in the future. While artistically this was pretty strong, I think your story really hurt you. The premise was fine and you had some good things going for it but I felt the dialogue hurt you as it didn\'t really feel convincing. Like come on, who says \"poopin ponies on pogo sticks\"? haha Other than that it was a nice comic, keep on working hard
betito-Artistically this was a step up for you I think but I wasn\'t a fan of some of your choices of colors. Bright lime green and purple are difficult colors to really make work, especially when they\'re in the background and can make it hard to focus on the foreground. Storywise you also could use a little work, this just felt pretty abrupt to me. Not everyone has to do huge 20 page epics but it never hurts to throw in a page or two explaining why stuff is happening. Like it was pretty random that Scurcrow knew exactly who Martin was and that he was looking for his sister. I just felt like everything was kind of random, try to give us a little more build up next time.

Uploaded as well.
I have to admit though, I\'m not all that happy with it. Hmm, I\'ll have to do something better for my next battle. :0 got a late start on this so I had to work on it nonstop so I think I\'ll only be doing 3 week battles and above from now on.
Oh, and um, my tablet wasn\'t working for the first 4 days (reason I got a late start) so if my lines seem too shaky then I\'m sorry, I was still getting used to my newer tablet. I also had to use the line tool in some areas, sorry about that too, since I know some of you told me not to use it D: I\'ll try not to abuse it as much.
