marinduquenio: considering this was the first battle with this character & he\'s supposed to be a samurai, i was expecting something with a little bit more substance to the battle & the conflict between the two. sorry it didn\'t do it for me. like suddenly they\'re in close proximity to one another, they cross swords & then there\'s a flashback. eh. and the one page where only the one panel is colored is off-putting. considering we see your character other places on the page, you could have colored him all at once & fudged the rest by just making it solid colors or something. i\'ll be looking forward to the next one though

Marin:  I  know you were working with a new coloring technique, and perhaps you\'re still ironing out the wrinkles.  Or maybe life just happened.  I hate it when that happens.  I\'m still extremely on the fence with how I feel about your side, technicalities aside.  I\'m not crazy about samurai stories, but I don\'t hate them, either;  but I am intrigued about your characters history.  For me?  Retellings of past lives, living in the present, is something that NEVER, EVER gets old for me.  And it\'s a trend I\'m seeing in this city.  And I\'m kinda glad that it\'s working out that way.....  

I\'m looking forward to seeing more.  I truly am.

NJ:  I just hope that you\'re okay.  Likewise, I\'m looking forward to seeing more from you.  So--better luck, and better circumstances, whatever they may be, next time.

Good penciling, great colors, but I\'d suggest you either do your \"whole\" pages with or without color. It\'s kind of a let down when you do it like this. I mean I\'m all into it and then the mood drops cause it\'s just not the same quality anymore...
Also, it\'s a bit short and déja-vu. I hope next time you\'ll put more effort in your plot so it\'ll really catch us, the readers. The art is pretty nice, but the story has to be as strong man!

well it\'s entirely possible he has no power at the moment as currently Ohio, Kentucky, Mississippi, Florida, Texas, and surely a few other places are dealing with mass power outages caused by Hurricane Ike. I don\'t know where Njhinesjr lives, but if that\'s the case then I hope he\'s safe.

That\'s a damn awesome name by the way. I like the colouring, makes the images magically stand out alot. Your line art is also strong enough on it\'s own. I like the past-life concept you placed in on page four. I didn\'t enjoy Nameless\' method of communication, kinda outta character. I  suggest slight research or study of your upcoming opponents.
Enjoyed the comic overall. Short but hey, welcome to Void City.

I liked the art and colors, but I didn\'t like the generic anime samurai story with eye close-ups and duels in tall grass.  The whole self reflection thing was tool in anime to suck up time while not having to spend a lot on animation. So its kind of annoying in comics.
