I honestly wanted to do more with NB, I didn\'t mean to just knock him around like that. I\'ve learned some things from working with a shorter deadline and I\'ll do a better job next time around.

Squid, that was a big improvement over your other battles.  It seemed a little pointless, but it was still entertaining.  Good job.

Mecid, that was another really good comic.  You\'re on a roll.  Only thing I can point out is the girl in the beginning looked a little masculine.

I\'m a teeny bit more partial to Mecid\'s since it kind of showed both characters\' interaction better/fairly within the plot of the comic.. Both were very awesome and funny with art and humor though, doubtless! I dig both comic\'s art style as well.

Either way I wish you both luck, as you\'re both very qualified to move on! Great job Squidman, great job Mecid!

Haha. Thanks Squidman. I see my special effect puppets fooled you. However I must say that I love your line work and ability to work with inks in general. There was also a neat retro feel (like those old school sci-fi comics) to how you inked everything this time. And your comic layout has great flow to it as well. Also: Jews in Space and Lemonade Stands for the win.

SQUIDMAN-the more I see your battles, the more I fall in love with your style. The fluid lineart was pretty amazing. I think entertainment wise you slipped a little from your previous battles, but it was still nice to see you do something a little different. My only main complaint is it seems as if you didn\'t finish.

Mecid-I liked that you did something a bit different artistically. I\'d gotten so used to seeing your crosshatching and stuff so it was pretty refreshing seeing you go with something different. It also seems as if you didn\'t finish which makes me sad.

I really have no idea how this will go, I really wouldn\'t mind seeing this be a tie. Unfortunately I have no idea how I voted since I made the mistake of having more than 1 battle open at once when I got home from work and put in the wrong votes on this one

This tourney is only in the first round and already the decisions are tough! This match up was by far the most neck in neck. The quality of the art, the awesome (and funny!) story on both ends- I really don\'t know who\'s going to come out on top with this one. Can we vote on a tie? >.>

Squidly - You did AMAZING. I seriously am in love with the way you presented this comic. Those extreme dark shadows on the faces seriously made that comic. Stupendous work.

Mecid - Yours was hilarious, by far the funniest thing I\'ve read for all the tournament. The art was spot on. You got this round in my book, and I hope you go on to fight, because I want to see the Battle Dating Game.
